Virtue in the Manifest Presence of God.

Yes, it is Christmas time and I had the awesome privilege of Worshipping at my local church this afternoon. I have been studying about virtue recently and not just any kind of virtue but christian virtue. My purpose is not to detail everything that I have been learning but to exclaim that without virtue, life holds no purpose and with virtue we hold in our hands the very purpose of our existence, the manifest Presence of God. We are on a team and you are on this team if you have believed in Christ. As you may have discovered we are called to believe in the present tense and after we have believed we are called to virtue. Virtue is hard work and lest you be discouraged, it takes effort again and again even when you fall down. The alternative isn't worth a mention, but if you take courage in the fact that you are a sinner and have come to the place in your life where you realise that after you believe there is work to be done, you will not fail in the quest for christian character.

Thoughts for a video Head.

I do realise that the title of this blog should be "Thoughts for a computer head" but since computers and video's have sort of made a complex combination I will speak like a video head. I have a computer and my computer is my mind, but my mind is connected to my fingers and my fingers have the power to bless you or to curse you. I would say that the computer in my mind is tragically flawed because it doesn't contain all he knowledge that the world contains.....But despite my lack of knowledge and lack of space to write all the thoughts contained in the universe, I will describe my current data as 'error/ please see owners manual' OWNERS MANUAL OF THE BRAIN: 1. When faced with the popular decision, choose the unpopular one. 2. When called old, look at your tormentor and say where were you in 1974? 3. When in a public setting never take the side of the herd. If you do you will become a cow just like them. 4. If you are a vain person, just be thankful that

The Palistinian Protection Placement program.

Back last February I had the opportunity to experience something that brought me back to my childhood. The last time I was in Chicago, was when I was a teenager and drunk on my long bangs and skateboard shoes, and flashy clothing I entered the USA with my parents as I visited my family who I will describe. I have a cousin named Antonella, and she is two years older than me..I am 39. Antonella was crazy cool. We would be in my aunt's kitchen getting ready to go somewhere and Antonella would be doing her hair/make up and she would be swearing the whole time she was getting ready. @####, &%))))! I say this because I believe I needed protection as a child, we all did but when we grow up we no longer require our parents to protect us, we need something more. That something more is God. Was the concept of God a foreign thing for you growing up? Being from the States, my cousin would pronounce the word "Gad" instead of "God" she would make fun of my accent and sa

Diplomatic Immunity with no Responses.

Do you remember that old country called Israel? You know the place, it was where Jesus was born, where the angels appeared to the Shepard's to announce the birth of a Saviour. It was the place promised to Abraham and his descendants forever. Have you lost the vision and purpose of the Jewish homeland? I had an old friend say to me "God is not in the real estate business" referng to the fact that the Jewish state didn't really belong to the people who own it..The Jews. Do you remember the Holocaust? Many Jewish people have found protection from potential Hitlers by claiming their God given right to live on the land that was given hem by God himself. I am not God but I am not blind to see that the promise of land, that the Bible speaks about was for the Jews only. The bible does say in the book of Joel that God will judge those who divided he holy land, so it seems that we are fast approaching the fulfilment of his prophesy in the bible, however it is not a prophesy t

Rocked by the Peppers.

A du du du, a da da da, no this is not a song I want to talk about, but there was something that happened to me recently that totally changed my perspective on music. It was a concert I watched on youtube featuring the Red Hot Chilly Peppers. My mind was literally blown away as I perceived the talent for the very first time of a band that has a really bad reputation and is no longer popular. Back in the last century here were many bands that shaped the culture, some are still around but for the most part they have fallen into oblivion. There was a very real delusion that I grew up believing and that was if you had the dream you could make it, I also believed you needed talent but to train and practise and learn etc. was not part of my dream because I believed that if something came natural to you so would the fulfilment of that dream. My apologies to all those musicians out there who have been spending half their lives or more training for the fulfilment of your dreams. There is a ki

I am a christian in hiding.

Is it my choice that back in 1999 I was diagnosed with a severe mental illness. Is it my choice that I'm having thoughts that I may be DID. I feel pain and the best way for me to deal with this pain is to be myself contrary to what my brother has been telling me lately, that I live in a dream world where I expect the whole world to revolve around me!!!!What! That is so not true. If you want to know what he called a dream let me explain it to you. It's not that he called this a dream, but this is what I stand for: NO CORRUPTION, WHETHER IT BE IN CHURCH OR THE GOVERNMENT. Just an aside, we have a Hitler like leader in the whitehouse right now who is rebelling against the Constitution: I  BELIEVE IN THE DEFINITION FOUND IN THE LAW OF NATIONS BOOK ONE CHAPTER NINETEEN IN REGARDS TO THE PRESIDENT BEING A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN, WHICH THE CURRENT PRESIDENT DOESN'T QUALIFY. I believe in equity and equality for the poor and I believe that it the church not the state who are to show C

No I will not forget you.

Sounds like the lyrics of a Sarah McLaughlin song but I have allot more to talk about than music. I would like to talk about the throne room. Get your head out of the pit for now, when I mention throne room there are certain qualifications for someone to enter. Have I completely lost you? That was not my point, let me explain. The bible talks about Heaven and if you are born again you will go there when you leave this world. The bible also talks about someone very important and if you are saved for real, he (Jesus) is up there right now, but he is also in your heart if you have recieved his gospel--for real. What exactly is God up to right now? He is saving people. How does he do it? God does it through people like you and me, and because I am saved I have access into the very presence of God where Christ is seated on His right hand, into the throne room of God. There is only One Throne room, and there is Only one God. All saved people can march right into the very presence of God, His

Will you pass the butter please?

Right now it is 8:04pm and my stomach is grumbling. My father is downstairs and my mother is out with some women from the Salvation Army. Several years ago, I left a pentecostal church called the bridge, to attend a little church here in Markham that has been around ever since I can imagine. It was the only Salvation Army church in the town of Markham and some way I ended up attending it with my mother after I was baptised as an adult. The building still sits at the corner of 16th Avenue and Mcowan, but there isn't any congregation that meets there anymore. As far as I know the only Salvation Army in York Region is in Richmond Hill, and that is where the congregation from Markham went. I did not go. There were many reasons why I did not go to Richmond Hill, and some of them are as follows. I do not drive anymore, so transportation was a problem. I am assuming that no one that went there would of been able to pick me up and take me to church. My mom made it clear that it was an in

Conditional Worship.

As I try to process the events that have transpired over the past 24 hours of my life, it leads me to consider the act of conditional worship. This is when a fellowship, be it christian, Jewish, Muslim or any religion enforces a set of rules that you must obey in order to be a part of their congregation. In Christianity this is called legalism. In other fellowships this is called occultic practises, sacraments and rituals. Jesus issued strong warning against those who practise their faith as a ritualistic form and warned others not to do as they do as many fell under the leadership of these false teachers. The reason why Jesus warned his followers of this Hippocratic way of living your life was because he believed that those who wanted their religion were in fact rejecting Christ and consequently the One true God who could save their souls from the consequences of their sins, which is hell. God gave these religious leaders up to their own error because instead of doing things His way

The small little bird.

There once was a little bird, her name was Andrew. Yes Andrew was a boy's name, but this bird had not yet understood the difference between right and wrong. One day her grandmother came to her in a dream, for she was already dead, and said "Little flyer you have so many choices in life, you are a young bird what are you going to do with your life?" Andrew had a dream, she wanted to fly, but she never told anybody about her dream so she lied to her grandmother and said she would be a servant bird, a messenger just like her father. Her grandmothers tears filled up with joy, "Oh Andrew! You will be so happy in your new life, your father will be proud and you will make an honest man out of your husband!" Then Andrew woke up. She began to cry because the last thing she wanted to be like was her father. He was a cruel man, and never believed in Andrews dream to want to fly. He would say, "You are a small little bird, with small little wings and all the other bird

Pride in the Fall of man.

It is with my most humble regards that I say to you that I am a fallen man. I don't take pride in my absurdity but rather rejoice that I am still am man of conscience and least I say faith, unless I too perish with the thought that I am somebody of substance, and suffer the fate of my countryman. There is allot I can talk about but words are cheap in a time like this, so may I say that my heart goes out to all of you who like me, have been drawn into a world and a time that takes no reference of the unfortunate of heart. Let me swallow my soul for a moment and say that without the comforts of a home, someone to love and good music to listen to and sing along with, I would be a most peculiar man obsessed with the sadness that comes to every soul who thinks that it is in their pride that they find relief. I think I have been saved from that and with the word of God as my source I believe you can be saved from that too. I don't delight in my own self abasement, for that would be

Take me Down Lord.

Oh my pride which pours contempt on the ones you came to save, rescue me from presumption Lord less I fall like the storm the has killed so many. We are one in you Christ so look down upon the death that I face right now, and take me down, never to rise again. When we look at our sin we fail to recognise the damage we do to ourselves and the eternal damage we do to others. Part of being in a vertical church has been the cornerstone on all my pride being washed away until the next time I must go down. Take me down Lord that I might see the sun and embrace the Father who has created this disaster for reasons that I will never know. Take me down Lord that I may feel the heat of Christ's Love pouring once again in my soul, Oh take me down. Take us to the matt Lord, that we may feel your glorious resurrection, that we might be small and you might be large. OH TAKE ME DOWN LORD, for you are God and we are your children. It is the small who will rise and it is the arrogant that will fall,

You can't lose it.

Fire, fire, fire, yells the man in the little red coat as he takes a bottle of red wine and a biscuit out of his big red jacket. What are you doing says the woman he is with (who happens to be his wife!) "I'm starting a revolution," he says, then loudly slips into the back room never to be seen again. We all have times in our lives when someone is shouting death at us, and it happened to me tonight. I'm not happy that someone who hardly knows me, feels perfectly free to contradict something that I stake my life on. Actually thinking about it sort of makes me want to laugh because it is like a big bully with his pants around his ankles saying "come get me." Tonight was a great night the sense that I got to gather with my church family and lift high the Saviour that we claim as Lord. And I want to talk about just what that term means. You know Jesus as your Saviour, but can someone please tell me if that's all it takes to get to Heaven? I met someone tonig

Saved from Ministry.

We all like to be a blessing and if you are a person of faith I'm sure you have found great joy in actively practising out your faith possibly in a local church. I am all for the church, I go to one and many great people in history come from a Christian background. I'm not out on ministry in the church I'm all for it, especially during a time where most Christians are lazy and apathetic about their faith, which brings in question their authenticity, that for another time. I've heard it said somewhere that you will stand before God and give an account for your life in this space/time continuum and that is true for me and for you. As I write these words I am reminded that I am using a talent that God has given me to bless others, so I use this gift for His glory. I used to struggle with the idea that if you are saved that all of your gifts should be used in the church, but listening to a talk show recently, something that I always knew in my heart was solidified in my t

Music in the twenty first Century.

This blog could go on page after page after page because there is so much to say about the music industry that would probably be left unsaid. But since this is a blog, I am going to talk about it. Let me take you back to 1999 where things really were crazy. The buzz was really pop music, but you were uncool if you really liked that stuff. I think the latter part of my generation really realised that music was really dying a slow death in  the mid '90's. What was on the radio and what was slowly taking over was this drab, generic sooth my soul but not my mind, 2nd rate cheesy music, from second rate artist who really had much to say, but unfortunately too little time to say it. The result was a kind of music that only stimulated your senses, but lacked real time tell me like it is, talent. Music slowly died in the '90's with bands like Alanis Morrisette, Sarah McLaughlin, Lenny Kravitz, The Tragically Hip, Radio Head, Britney Spears, The Back Street Boys and America

The Wonderful World of micro-chips.

If you are a christian, then I'm sure you have heard the reports from some evangelicals that we are living in the end times and all this codifying is the mark of the beast. In Canada several years ago our debit cards were encoded with a micro chip and this lead me to seriously question the prophecies in the bible that talk about a one world order in the book of revelation and the mark of the beast being a form of identification that the whole population receives, in order to buy and sell. I am a firm believer in the book of revelation and bible prophecy, which lead me to study the exegesis of that famous verse in Revelation condemning all who receive the mark of the beast. This is how my thinking goes. When you become a christian you are sealed with the holy spirit. For those of you who have not yet been saved, this means that when you are born again the holy spirit (who is God) is given to you as a deposit guaranteeing your final redemption. Salvation is like a circle that canno

Recess time.

We like to think that we have forever to live, forever to find our dreams and try to make them happen and to a certain degree this is true. We obviously don't have forever to accomplish the things we most desire in life so that leaves us with an open question, will we ever find ultimate happiness or contentment. The answer is yes, (if you want it to be.) Life deals us with many screwballs, I am dealing with the baseball metaphor, and it is how we respond to these blips on the screen of our lives that will ultimately determine our legacy because if we are honest it is what we leave behind that matters most to us. Legacy is a great word to talk about because we are all looking for our meaning and purpose in life, but a serious question arises.."How long will we have to live here?" Legacy then doesn't become a life long series of events, but a segment of events as determined by God for how ever long you live. Could be 10 years, could be 15 years or it could be 21 years t

An inconvinient truth.

No this topic doesn't refer to Al Gore, that said, I would like to talk about hospitals and the counselling that most hospitals administer through a Chaplin. I am a regular person with regular thoughts, but when I feel overwhelmed I make my way to my local hospital where I find solace and guidance through the ministry of the Chaplaincy, more specifically the spiritual resources associated with that. Although I am no longer an out patient, I still feel a very strong connection to the time I spent as a patient back in 1999 and because I still struggle with those same issues, the community does have resources still available to me, albeit there is now red tape to cross over (in a metaphorical sense) if I still want to be a member of that community (which I am) but to participate in those other things that the hospital offers for people like me. I am a firm believer in the local church in times of crisis, but what the local church cannot offer in the same way as a hospital, is a bed

Judged, but not Convicted.

You know the drill, or maybe you don't. You are going on your way living life the best you know how and someone introduces a new set of rules, a new conviction that tells you if you don't do it their way they will make your life a living hell if they have not already. This person believes that they are right and you are wrong no matter what you say to them to convince them that you are a person of integrity, they seems to see things in you that are not just behaviour faults, but character deficiencies in their eyes. You are judged, but not convinced that their assessment of your character has been accurately diagnosed. In fact the bible tells believers not to judge another persons character, but the fruit of their lives not to condemn that person, but in order that that person might be saved. But this person isn't concerned about your own spiritual well being, at least they are giving an incredible example that the last thing they are concerned about is your faith. This p

Who is knocking at Your heart?

I have to admit, I'm usually not this happy and I really don't have the words to describe what I'm feeling right now, but if you have ever been without food for several days and someone offers you a cold drink and a meal you might understand the joy that God provides for those who's hearts are clean. I say that in a relative sense because we are all infected with the disease of sin, which was so clearly pointed out to me this Sunday afternoon as I visited a church which isn't my home church as I would of been left alone at home, while my parents celebrated thanksgiving by attending a service at their local church. My life hasn't been easy, nor ever it was, but it became more challenging but forgive me, more happy as I struggle with emotional issues which were the result of wrong choices I made in my early to mid twenties. I have a question that has never been answered and maybe by writing this I might see a little bit better why I always seem to feel less tha

Unbelief in a world of religion.

The first thought that comes to my mind is that REM song "Loosing my religion." I think that religion is an amazing topic to discuss because we live in a very superstitious and fascinated world, where people will make religious icons out of 'the fonz', 'homer simpson' and every American idol that winks at them. I believe we are living in an era of atheism, and the best that any moral man or woman can say is "I believe in a God." We used to say I believe in God but the Requiem of the culture is that He (God) is sleeping somewhere and has forgotten about His chosen people. That's me in the corner, that's me in the spotlight, loosing my religion and if somebody doesn't show me the way soon "I'm really going to lose it". Speculation is the death of hope, and the cross of Christ is foolishness to those who disbelieve. Send me your money the church says, that man you see preaching on the television. "Send me your seed fait

Democratic disciphering and Constitution Crisis.

I'm not a gentleman nor a scholar, and I have to give credit where credit is due and that would be to nobody. I understand that the USA is in a constitutional crisis and more than that there is a tremendous amount of let down where one democratic party seems to have all the answers, and one republican party is running on a dime and a dream. I don't pretend to understand all of the financial problems that this country is facing, so I believe I stand in good company with a man who happens to be a Governor, oh and a Mormon. If looks could kill I'd give the job to Mitt Romney, but the question that seems to be plaguing a confused public is can we live without Big Bird? I have some money saved up, maybe I can donate a couple hundred dollars to American PBS and start a big bird come back after Romney wins the election and cuts Sesame Street. I think we have more to reflect on. First lets ask a very simple question, who is eligible for the president of the United States? Too har

Adultery, not a nice word.

I promised myself that I wouldn't do this, I will not complain...maybe just a little. I want to talk about the need for reality. There is allot of deception, (as the trash man drives by my window) and nobody seems to care. I called a prayer line today, and the man on the other line seemed so indifferent to my problem. Maybe it's because he is indifferent to the problems in his own life. One of my college teachers said something that has still stuck with me, it was "The great Disappointment." As an artist no matter how much you achieve in life you will always be left with the feeling that despite your accomplishments you really haven't reached your goals. He also told me that I have the feeling that others know me better than I know myself. At that point in my life he was right. Then I grew up. I'm not the judgemental type, but I know that there are allot of people who would say that I am, for that I apologise. I have a tendency to tell people things that the

I don't think you exist, really?

Words can never express the gratitude that I felt the other day as I had the opportunity to lead a little girl to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. I have always thought that my little world, the world of self existence was always about me and what I could accomplish in my short time on earth. I'm still selfish but I no longer feel that my own existence is for my own happiness. I believe that I was placed here to bring the joy of Christ, (wow) to other human beings. I always thought that down deep inside there was a treasure to this thing called life, and I have now learnt that that treasure lies in knowing Christ, and when he allows it, to bring other people to that knowledge. I don't know if I will ever get the same opportunity again, but if the soul purpose of my existence was to bring one person into the faith, I have fulfilled my purpose in life.

The telos, or the goal of human existence.

I might say here that I do not know why we were created, and that would be a misrepresentation of the doctrine of Christ presented to us in the bible. I am not a theologian, but I am a fan of one great such, the great N.T. Wright. His telos or goal for the truly human being is new creation. When you become a christian, a whole new world opens up to you. You find that you desire new things, "the old has gone the new has come" says the scriptures. We like to call it being born again. The goal of human existence is new creation, not any creation but a creation of the renewed human being reflecting the truly human character, that reflects the glory of God back to creation. Sounds confusing? Read on. Some of us have made personal goals in our own minds, which should stay there for now. But keep in mind that you had to create a conscious thought to formulate that goal. Whether you were aware of it or not we are all thinking beings, we have the capacity to to accept one thought or

The snake, the dragon & the butterfly.

We believe in one absolute truth, that truth doesn't exist. We believe in the existence of an omnipresent creator, her name is rah. We suppress the true knowledge of God because we fear his judgement now and forever in eternity, but we will never bow down to that Son, for in so doing we fail our omnipotent creator rah. We believe in earth, rain and the butterfly, the Spirit of God is hell to us because we are the enemy. Rah will ruin this universe and create a blissful nothingness, where we will become sons and daughters of the snake, the dragon and the butterfly. We are unclean. We believe in the God of political correctness, churches should be dungeons, where rah flies free and blessed. We will pray to rah, as you pray to your enemy, and this world will be the kingdom of lies, restricted speech and false presidents. Rah said you don't have to be a citizen of his country to be the leader...we hear the sound of their king coming to save them, flee to rah, she will protect you

We welcome you to earth.

Paradigm shift in the collective consciousness, can you feel it? We live in a relatively welcoming world. There are babies being born right now, and there are people entering into eternity. Switch to the heavenly realm, there is a war going on right now for your soul. If you could see into the angelic sphere where Good and evil are fighting for the souls of men, you would fall prostrate in fear and hopefully call upon the God who came to save you. Christ is the person who holds the universe in check, the Father ordains all events in this world and Satan opposes the work of God and the angels of God, through means that I cannot fathom. This world belongs to Christ and he will return one day in triumphal procession, which all true saints of God will be a part of. Shift to the word of God. We win in the end. Satan and his angels will be cast into the lake of fire with all the unbelieving sinners who are living or who will ever live. I do not say this to condemn you, Christ came to save

When he tells you he loves you.

Writing from a male perspective this has no reference to homosexual love, but a love between a man and a woman that transcends all normal perspectives of convention and prudence. Agape love has been called the greatest love there is. It is the love between husband and wife and the Creator and mankind. If we are called to love in this way but never really know in our hearts what this love means to our hearts, we can be easily deceived (the way the deceiver lies to us) into thinking that we must never sacrifice our hearts for something greater than ourselves. God does not call us to love in the way we feel love, He calls us to die. Think of a time when someone was genuinely concerned for your welfare. It may be a stranger or probably someone very close to you. You probably should of felt loved, but the love that a man has for his wife should not come with the demand that you are here to serve me. I have felt this kind of love throughout my life, where the person receiving my adoration

When the Game Plays you.

Alright, alright. So you say I'm a self proclaimed pot smoking barbaric ritual death defying pagan super hero, with no regard to the failure or safety of my fellow athletes? You are right in saying that I hit a wall, when all my energy is expended on the love and humility of my fellow soldiers. I love the world, not the system but the people and if you tell me to stop loving them I won't die in my sins but I'll let you crucify me. Psychology is the stuff that believer love to hate, and caffeine makes me happy to think that you are in pain and I am not. I take pills to make me happy and my blood is relatively low and I thank God for the double espresso long, with two packets of splenda that I had this afternoon. If you die before I get to tell you I love you, make my soul happy by telling me that you never loved me but were fascinated with my beauty, I love it when you sing. Take a long drink of red apple cider before you write me back, because I'll be with you in

I title this "let go."

The mind has a limited capacity to understand truth, but as a man or woman of God you have the ability to understand things that not everyone understands. I would like to convince you that I would make an awful father and husband. It's not that I no longer have the will to be a godly man, I do not desire the kind of relationship that most men desire when seeking a wife. I am unstable and unemployed, it's not that I don't want to work, I simply can't do it right now..maybe never. You see, what a woman desires in a man is stability, ladies, am I not right? And I can't provide any kind of stability other than marital sex, in which I have been trained through a lifestyle of fornication before I became a born again christian. So if it is a lifetime of marital sex you are looking for, but no financial or emotional stability, than I'm your man. This is not a joke, but a plea to "let me go", thanks ladies, it's been swell. (nice.)

How to make it in the music Industry.

Hey all you Justin Beibers out there, you thought that if you put your video on you tube and had a my space page you would somehow get magically discovered by some record producer who in turn could set you up, with their connections and you would be in? Or maybe if you thought you could get yourself on some kind of magic music list, your song would get noticed...and wham, there it is you are in the business. You want to know the secret? It takes allot of work. My brother is a record producer, and after some probing questions from a curious mind, (that would be me) I finally understood what it takes to be successful. There are many amature music artist out there who think that the way to be a full time musician is easy. They write a song or two, get some studio to produce a demo and that's about as far as they go. Why? because they are amatures. Some people get their songs on lists, but according to James Finnerty and myself, it's a dead end. You might have heard it said tha

An ear for an eye.

Yesterday afternoon I made my way to Richmond hill's Silver city to see the new Katy Perry movie. I promised myself that I would see it on Thursday, the day it came out, but I wasn't expecting to spend as much time at home with my brother James who is home for several days from Montreal. Thursday was a pretty interesting day as I got allot of time to sit and talk with my mother and my brother. It was hot outside as you may well know, and I wore sunscreen for the first time in many years. As time went by and as the conversation got deeper and more meaningful, my mom prepared the steaks to barbecue as my dad came home from work. The meal was great, but I had the feeling that there was more to say but left after an after dinner conversation and sat in front of the television. As the rest of my family came inside the house, they made their way to the other TV room and started to discuss plans for Saturday and Sunday (which is tomorrow) to travel to Stratford Ontario to see a play

Post ramatic stripe syndrome.

Funny title huh? Let's talk about dreams. Not the ones you dream at night, but the ones you dream about during the day. I'm 38 now and I think it a fair assesment to say that we never stop dreaming. Yes Sigmund Freud our dreams come from our ego and are shaped by our childhood, but why do we dream? We dream because it makes like worth living. We are given only one life, and we all have the desire for transcendence. Are dreams bad? Let me try to define by what I am refering to as a dream. A goal of unusual proportions, sometimes in proportion to our talent, sometimes not, and the ability to pursue and realize our potential in an exceptional way. Don't trample on my dreams, because some of them are coming true. God gives us our dreams, and for some he gives the talents and the opportunities to realize them. You have to dream first in order for any chance at your dreams coming true. Only some people are ready to realize them. There is no garantee that if you dream something th

Two eggs, One bacon.

Last night wasn't a great night. I was awakened at three am in the morning, by a Police man flashing a light in my room and seeing if I was ok. I am living with my parents right now, and last night my mom was asleep in her room, my dad was downstairs watching tv when obviously the doorbell rang. According to his account the police forced their way into our house and asked to check the bedrooms to see if everybody was ok. Obviously they didn't realise that they were in the wrong house, but that didn't faze my dad or the police. I am wondering if my dad had a sinister look on his face, that the police had to 'force their way into our house'. I have a healthy fear of the police, let's just say they scare me to death, especially when they open your bedroom door at three am in the morning and flash a light on your face, when you are asleep and haven't committed any crime.

What is an environmental crisis?

Ecology: the relations of organisms to one another and to their physical surroundings. Just what defines a culture in crisis? I have been in hiding for twelve years or maybe longer and have awakened to a world that is clearly in denial. The environmental movement has been categorised as a leftist movement requiring absolutely no attention from conservatives, lest you be titled a radical, pot smoking hippie, who is clearly out of touch with the conservative media biased issues, that dilute the truth, and shame the poor. No I am not an environmentalist, but I support them. I can see that this leaves me with not much to say, because I am clearly one of the enemies, but if I had a voice or I had a platform this is what I would say: We are now living in the twenty first century and things have become more and less confusing. Where computers were an enigma in the early 90's, children are teaching their parents who belonged to the original computer generation how to do things on the com

But I thought you said "a bus."

She said "let me out of this f#@! room or I'm going to kill myself!" Then she opened the window and jumped. She landed on the grass, picked herself up and started running. She ran to a catholic church, but they wouldn't let her in. She ran to an Anglican church, but they couldn't understand her. They asked her to stay, but she kept on running. She ran to the mall, but she had no money. She asked a stranger to buy her a coffee and he did. He said "What is your name?" She said "Jane." "Why are you running?" he said, " because they won't let me" she said. "They won't let you what?" he said. "They won't let me watch the tv, and my favourite show was on..running with the stars...have you seen it?" she said. "Can't say I have, but you seem to be very upset about this..is there anything else you like to do on a Thursday night?" he said with a wicked grin on his face. "I like to pla

When the wicked prosper.

Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses. At first glace at his word we see that there is no prosperity in the sinful man. He will perish. There is no need to worry and fix our hope in things that are not true because sooner than later the wicked have what is coming to them. The evil man seems to prosper but the bible teaches us that he will not go unpunished. When the wicked keep on in their sin, they think that they are getting away with it, but God promises that the will be wounded. They will melt like wax, and the presence of the Lord will consume them. Not sin goes unpu

Caught in the tide of Post Modernity.

Most of us remember learning our A, B, C's but it seems our culture is stuck in a pre- twenty first century mind set. With all the advancements in technology, medicine and so forth, I don't think any of us were prepared for the twenty first century. Certainly not the church of Jesus Christ. We have had to adapt to the negative changes in our culture, in a pre- twenty first century way by conforming to our culture which has proven to be unfruitful and chaotic at best. With our double espresso long, and our skinny cinnamon dolche latte decafs we have taken the material things of our past century and have transferred them into the future. The music is a bit more wild, and the quality of education and entertainment has relatively stayed the same, with a few minor exceptions. But the quality of the twenty first century man has dramatically degenerated, into a once forbidden fruit which has almost ripened and is waiting to be plucked. The search for the meaning of life still st

Heaven is a Place.

You might of heard it said somewhere that heaven, the place you go after you die is just a state of mind or an other dimension where disembodied spirits live awaiting the rapture or the second coming of Christ, where they will receive resurrected bodies at the general resurrection. Nothing is further from the truth. Yes I believe that when a saved person dies they enter the presence of Christ, but the bible says nothing about ephemeral spirits floating around in space, as some bible teachers teach us. What heaven is or what it looks like has not been revealed to mortals, since we cannot see through the time space continuum until we die, and if you have never been saved then you will never experience heaven, but God will is that before you pass you would have had an opportunity to enter into Salvation by being born again. I believe that Heaven is a real place because the bible teaches that it is. There are many chapters that refer to the abode of the dead, and in that abode lies heave

A Church is not a Church.

Stained glass windows, an organ player and yes the choir. Am I in a church? All the outward manifestations seem to tell me that I am, but what kind of Jesus are they preaching? Before I became a evangelical christian, I attended the catholic church. I remember being gay in college (and I don't mean happy) although I was happy being gay, I attended a catholic church just down and around the street from where I share an apartment with two friends. I remember being in the church, and there was another gay guy from my school who went to the same church. My intention is not to paste the catholic church as a gay church. I believed I had every right to be in that church, even though I was very confused as to my catholic identity and my personal sexual identity. The reason for this blog is to reveal to you just who the church is. Just because I attended a Church, didn't mean that I was a part of 'the church' in the biblical way. Some of us get so wrapped up in the idea that I

Justification, a new outlook?

Oh Lord let your righteousness fall, may we be  filled with your righteousness (I almost said killed), let your righteousness fall like the new born dew and mist after a night of rain, oh let it fall let it fall. Let's talk about righteousness for a while. We know that the bible teaches us that we are to be holy but what does that mean? It means we are to be separate. But that is a vague definition, there are Hindu monks in the Himalayas who live a life of asceticism, they are as separate as can be but are they holy? In their faith tradition they are extremely holy. This is not a trick question. Like is there 'Christian holiness, Muslim holiness, Buddhist holiness, Hindu holiness, true holiness is like finding a needle in a hay stack because it requires one thing; sacrifice . If you study Hinduism the Hindu priests sacrifice to their goddesses and gods but does that make them holy? In the Roman Catholic church the priests are considered holy because they have been ordained f

The new Enlightenment.

Spring forward and fall back. Wasn't it said by someone that there is nothing new under the sun? When a good man says nothing evil prospers, so I will speak with all of my heart and not let them touch me. I do not consider myself to be a rebel, nor do I consider myself to be a saint, (even though I am) I do consider myself to be a truth teller. So I will tell the truth and I will die for it. Maybe I'm already dead. Pilate asked the question, and my philosophy will answer it, What is truth? Truth is truth. There is no diverse answer to that question other than truth is truth. How do you unveil the truth? You don't, you either know the truth or you don't know it! Will I tell you the truth? Your truth is relative, but his truth is subjective. It is subjective because he knows the truth, he is the truth, and he invented the truth, nay he was born the truth. He Created the truth, truth is his nature, Can he lie? No, but we have invented the truth, we have redesigned the t

The new Evolution of Homosexual thinking.

If you were to ask 99 evangelical or born again Christians what their view on homosexuality is, I think you would be surprised by their answer. There is a sweeping tolerance on the view that homosexuality is no longer a sin, and if fact that the act of homosexuality is not as immoral as we once thought it was. I used to be a homosexual and through faith in Christ "repented of that sin" (1 Corinthians 6:9) and it should be very clear that like murder or adultery that being gay according to the bible, will not bring you into the presence of God when you die. There is enormous confusion in the secular world, that the bible no longer is even recognised as an authority on secular matters, and that we are hating the pro gay agenda people and are pointing them out for condemnation. If someone is dying and you have the remedy that will save them, it is criminal at best not to share with them 1. The way to Heaven and 2. Their sin that they must repent of if they want to be forgiven

Lord give me faith to believe.

We all want things in life, but the truth is is that some of us will die not ever really understanding the purpose of life was to receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour! The message is so simple that you stumble over the answer again and again. I know the reason for our existence, do you want to know? It's going to take a commitment, a commitment of faith and of trust. Will you do it? You say well maybe if I know a little more, well here it is; You cannot go to Heaven unless you are born again! This is the truth do you accept it? Is it hard to believe for you that God said accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, why won't you do it? I know then I'll become a hypocrite just like you are! Right! This is serious business, millions of people and possible you are headed for an eternity of a Christ less existence in a place call hell. I urge you with all of my heart, repent of your sins, confess your sins to God, admit that you are a sinner. Fall on your knees and call out to Go

Live for Christ.

Today is your birthday you say? If you had one wish, one wish in the world..would that be to give your entire life over to Jesus Christ? I hesitate to put a question mark at the end of that sentence, the question really is; give your life over to Jesus Christ! I have tried women, na, I have tried men, I have made a deal with my delusions, but He keeps coming back again. I have tried food, I have tried drink, I have tried everything but misery, what do you think? I have tried ketchup, I have tried to make a deal with the devil, but everything revolves around the Sun, not the blues or reggae or hip hop. I have tried movie stars, I have tried sex on the beach, I have tried counting stars, I have tried brothers and sisters, I have tried childhood crushes, I have tried a box of matches, I have tried my foolish pride, I have tried U2. I have tried scissors, I have tried the Internet, I have tried dirty sox, I have tried being a mama's boy..it almost worked. I have tried my brain, I hav

When our Conscience is seared.

What happens to individuals, nay societies when they have seared their conscience? The grossest of immorality that one can imagine. I am thinking about the sex show that the Canadian taxpayer are paying for for our 12 to 16 year old students in Ottawa are being exposed to. There is no shame in our media, and there is no out rage among parents, who are allowing our children to see graphic images of sex and sexual toys as if this is normal for 12 year old and 16 year old students to view, via the approval of yes the government of Canada. These paedophiles in our government and our school boards should be arrested and put in jail for exposing children to hard and soft core pornography on our taxpayer dime. This is not the sex education that I was taught in high school. The government of Canada is in fact endorsing and promoting sexual intercourse between minors by exposing them to this pornography as required in their sex education program in their school. Where has morality gone? Where

Jimmy Swaggart and the Message of the Cross.

I was only fifteen years old when the Jimmy Swaggart scandal broke out, was not a born again Christian, and just remembering that there was this awful christian guy who did something with a prostitute. That was my last memory of Jimmy Swaggart. I accepted the Lord in 1995 when I was twenty one and got most of my spiritual food through Christian radio. Sometime after the horrible events of September 11, 2001 when the World Trade Towers were attacked, I stumbled across Jimmy Swaggart on television, probably one Sunday morning getting ready for church. I believe the first thing I ordered from this ministry was a bible commentary on the book of Daniel. I also ordered some study guides, but what they were preaching sounded right, even though everyone around me was criticising me for supporting a once fallen evangelist. And my message to you is the same that it was to them at the time, "Listen to the message he is preaching, and if you don't agree with the message, then you can crit

What is Christ consciousness?

Christ consciousness or Krishna consciousness are exactly the same things. They come from the world of new age spirituality which really has no set doctrine or orthodox teaching. In the new age anything goes. There is a heavy emphasis on angels and reincarnation, and in most new age cults they practise some form of meditation. You will hear about gurus, liberation and emancipation and karma. Or you could hear anything from aliens, to animal spirits to earth worship and sacrifice. They say that Krishna consciousness or Christ consciousness is the goal of meditation, usually transcendental meditation. Most cults have stopped using drugs to produce an ecstasy or ecstatic high that they call bliss that drives them deeper and deeper into the world of the occult. It is not satanism, there is no worship of Satan, in fact they will tell you that they are free and are worshipping God. But the bible says to test the spirits to see if in fact they are of God. With no theology they practically r

There is no commonality.

When you think of human nature and human desire I bet you would think that there is great commonality among the human race. I am writing this not out of a sense of rage but out of the commonality of the true human race. I want to ask you a question, Do we all die together? The answer to that question is no. But I know what you would say, we are so common as human beings that we all end up in the same place after we die. You my friend are a universalist. Your pride and your ego have lead you to believe that there is no Heaven and there is no hell. I personally believe that hell will be as populated as ten earths, and that is a light assessment. If you think that just because you are a good person and because you think that life has been kind to you by giving you an exulted ego and intelligence you are wrongly mistaken. The bible calls you proud, and just because you were given everything your heart desired doesn't mean that you were blessed by God, (read the story of the rich man an

In the Jail house of sin.

Have you ever been to court? Even worse have you ever been to jail? We live in a free country, but the one thing we are not free to do is break our laws. I am not a perfect person and when I am convicted of sin the first thing I want to do is defend myself. As humans we have a great desire for self preservation. We go to health food stores, we take our bodies very seriously. We coddle and care for our own flesh as if our flesh could save us. If some of us had our own way we would pamper ourselves to the point that we spend millions of dollars in body reconstruction. The body is not bad. We live in a body, and our bodies need food rest and sleep if we are to stay healthy and sane. But the bible tells us we are to present our bodies a living sacrifice unto God, for this is our spiritual act of service. What happens when we want things and we cannot get them? Do we become frustrated and demand that the cosmos bend to our own particular desires? In fact you are a child of God and doesn&#

Rules for Radicals.

Community organizer, social reformer, master of consensus...you guessed it: Barack Obama. Where did this man get his idea's to destroy the economy of the united States? http://www.crossroad.to/Quotes/communism/alinsky.htm  Saul alinsky. Why are the churches corrupt? Glad you asked, Saul alinsky, Peter Drucker, Rick Warren, and the dialectical prosess. No I am not out to make friends, are you part of the herd? Here is the purpose of Obama's favorite book. In this book we are concerned with how to create mass organizations to seize power and give it to the people; to realize the democratic dream of equality, justice, peace.... "Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.' This means revolution." p.3 "Radicals must be resilient, adaptable to shifting political circumstances, and sensitive enough to the process of action and reaction to avoid being trapped by their own tactics and forced to travel a road not of their choosing." p.6

The Decline of the Twentieth Century Church.

There is a paradigm change happening beyond your imagination and it is happening in your own church, right in front of your eyes. It is a dialectical change that has as it's purpose to change your thinking and worldview away from the bible (didactic thinking) to a dialectical mindset preparing the way for a global government and a global church. You might be right in thinking that the book of Revelation has something to say about a one world government and a global religion, it called the mark of the beast 666. Before calling me a conspiracy theorist, I want you to examine your own heart right now. Does your thinking line up with the bible? Didactic reasoning is logical thinking that proves the existence of God through faith in what the bible teaches about Christ. Dialectical thinking is contrary to the word of God and uses logical fallacies to produce compromise is your morality, to do things that you would not normally do, with cohersion. It takes the word of God and uses it

God's wrath, not for his children.

I was listening to a video by Pastor John MacArthur last year titled "Abandoned by God" and in this video he talks about how God gives a nation over to it's sin. He clearly says in this video that God has abandoned America. How sad it is when we as a country refuse to accept the things of the God of the Bible, and can I say that we serve a God of great patience and long suffering, so why would a loving God give a country up to it's own sin? I think I know the answer to that question and it lies in the human heart. The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, and does the collective sin of a country give God the right to abandon that nation, and what does it take for human beings to do that God says enough. Surely salvation is an individual experience, and we would like to believe that even though we have no desire for God he still loves us and would never leave us permanently. I liken it if I can to a grown up child, who refuses to be a part of his blood family by

My Story.

I guess you could say I was an average man. Never really got my self into trouble, obeyed the golden rule, and grew up being taught the principles found in Roman Catholicism. I was always a good looking kid. They always used to say that I looked like my mother. Something I now regret, because it sort of emasculated me a little bit. One girlfriend in high school dumped me because I was known for 'going too far' be it with willing girls, and when I tried it on her she would have no way of it. She grew up in a good family. Although she dumped me, for the longest time I had a great sense of respect for her, and couldn't figure out why, it was when I became a committed christian that I finally understood that "no" for sex was actually a good thing. In my late teens, early twenties, I began a path of self discovery. It started in high school where my best friend recommended that I take drama to keep him company. I was shy but had a big ego and if my friend was there I
