Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses. At first glace at his word we see that there is no prosperity in the sinful man. He will perish. There is no need to worry and fix our hope in things that are not true because sooner than later the wicked have what is coming to them.
The evil man seems to prosper but the bible teaches us that he will not go unpunished. When the wicked keep on in their sin, they think that they are getting away with it, but God promises that the will be wounded. They will melt like wax, and the presence of the Lord will consume them. Not sin goes unpunished, and the righteous need not fear when the wicked contend with innocent, for in their contention, they are fighting against God.
