Are you using your Spiritual gift?

Spirituality is a term usually saved for new age circles, but as born again Christians we have each been given a spiritual gift from God! If you have never been born again, and have no idea what I am talking about, keep reading. Jesus Christ came to this earth to save people from their sins, an idea foreign to your mind if you are working hard to keep your salvation or to maintain it. Can I bring this verse from Ephesians to your mind; For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; (Ephesians 2:8). Salvation is clearly a gift from God, and it is given as a gift so no one can boast. You might be wondering if you can loose your salvation? The answer to this question is yes, look at these two passages in Hebrews; (Hebrews 6:4-8) It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming ...

The Beauty of interracial Realationships.

Man or woman, I hope you get the experience in this short life to date someone from another culture. I question to use the word race because we are all part of the one family, the human race. Racism is as ugly a word as Hitler is, and I don't want to use this blog to solve the utter ugliness of your heart if you hate someone because of their sex, culture, colour of their skin and so on. My point in writing this blog is to show how ugly you are and how culturally irrelevant you are if you hate someone because of the colour of their skin. I have loved many women with tan or brown skin, and I am white. In fact I think oriental, African American, Latino, east Indian and other women of colour are the most beautiful women in the world. I am especially drawn to east Indian women or women of that colour! Why am I telling you this? Because God made diversity. This verse from the Bible (my holy book) for all you haters out there,"Can an Ethiopian change his skin or a leopard its spot...

The Virtue in Work.

Some may think that there is no virtue in doing work of any kind. This is not true. Even if one was incapacitated and unable to any physical labour of any kind, the mental labour of controlling ones thoughts would be that individual's work! We labour our whole lives to put food on our table, and cloth ourselves but to be at rest in ones mind at work is an arduous step. We struggle with stress and meeting deadlines, striving as we do to please our boss, but there is a work we can do while we work and that is remaining calm inwardly while we do our work. Half of the battle is showing up on time, but if we are not aware of an inward life and glimpses of peace of mind outside work, we will succumb to the workaholic mentality that I must be busy all the time, even mentally. Training the mind doesn't have to be relegated to Indian monks, or Buddhist monastics. We can take a little time everyday to cultivated a stress free mind. Think of the times when you were younger, if you are o...

Mental Illness and the Church.

I have been suffering from a severe mental illness since 1999. I won't go into too many details here as to how I got sick, but some information might be necessary. I was 25 years old when I voluntarily admitted myself into the mental health unit at my local hospital, and my brief stay there and in another hospital changed my life. I remember when the crisis hit, I felt like I was going to die. I was blessed to get the chief of psychiatry at Markham Stouffville Hospital at the time Dr. David Koczerginski, a young man at the time and very helpful. While I was in the crisis room, (that's what I like to call it) Dr. Koczerginski assessed me and determined that I was in actual crisis and got a room ready for me right away. I was subsequently assessed by a male psychiatric nurse, whom I remember very well and I remember telling him I couldn't gain control of my thoughts they just seemed to be flying every where! He got me settled for the night, took me and my parents around the u...

The social paradigm surreptitious failure.

In the age of the Internet we are multifacetedly  trying to connect ourselves at all levels of society and in all aspects of our lives.  Being that we live in a three dimensional reality we do not have access to other dimensions  and other worlds despite what the greatest science fiction authors and thinkers are telling us.  We have created the a six dimensional reality with things like social media and the construct of connectivity.  Wherever there is a society there must be policing in order to keep the divergent out and the invergent in.  But even in a six dimensional reality that is a digital reality the world that we live in is 3 dimensional.  No construct of a digital universe can ever create a materialistic  Society in which death is finally overcome.  The didgicrats  would have us believe that we can live on this planet forever in the form of digital content.  But what the didgicrats  failed to acknowledge was tha...

This line is busy press one.

I am not one normally to complain,  but in the digital age complaining seems to get you nowhere in fact it takes you right off of the boat.  Because we have connected ourselves in a digital manner we seem to want to resolve personal relationship conflicts in the same way.  But because we are not digital people we are real life human beings whenever there is a relationship conflict between two people whether it is a professional conflict or any other kind of conflict our first  instinct is,  i'm going to write about you on Facebook and that should solve all of my problems.  Being that we live in a society where almost everyone now has a voice and that voice can be heard on a social network of at least an average of 100 people,  we should it seems to be getting along quite well in the realm of face-to-face communications with the real life human being.  It seems the more we know about a person when we see them in person we should be able to ...

My Health.

I am writing this blog post more for myself than for anyone else it's not that you can't read it but I just want to document what is been happening over the past few weeks in regards to my health.  For some of you who may not know I see a psychiatrist in regards to mental health issues that happened  over 16 years ago.  I have been battling depression since 1999 and other psychiatric illnesses for which I have to take medication for every morning and every night.  This past summer I was asked to submit an article about mental health recovery to the Canadian mental health Association, who is working in conjunction with with a publisher for a book coming out in the spring about mental health and recovery.  I received a phone call earlier this  past year from someone named Neil Howard who informed me that the article that I submitted this past summer was being excepted into a book that is going to be published in the spring.  Lord willing I'm very e...
