His mercy is from Age to Age.

His mercy is from Age to Age. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; Psalms 103:17 | KJV And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. Luke 1:50 | KJV There is one thing about the Catholic mass that I particularly like, it's when the Priest says "His mercy is from age to age on those that fear Him." In a time of panic, it is good to remember God's mercy. God loves his people and sometimes faith can be hard work. When we can't see God's hand, we have to look at who He gave us. Jesus Christ was a sinless man who suffered and died for our sins! How do we look for comfort and salvation, when it is impossible to see God through our own suffering? First, you have to know Jesus died for your sins, because it will be impossible to see God's mercy in your life if you don't know Jesus Christ, or that he died for your sins! This is why mo...

"Closed until Further Notice." A Heavenly Tale.

"Closed until Further Notice." A Heavenly Tale. A godly man died and appeared at the Pearly Gates. When he got there, there was a sign that said "Closed until further notice." He walked up to the Gates and noticed they were pad locked, so he looked around and noticed a rough bench nearby, that was empty. He sat down and fervently prayed that Saint Peter would appear to him to remove his confusion. Just then the Gates opened and the man could see a little bit inside. He saw empty halos scattered near by the entrance, but no one was inside! Then the godly man heard a loud sound as of a Trumpet, and immediately saw another sign on the Gates, which read "We are temporarily re-located on the earth, check the Book in front of you and see if your name is in it." The godly man checked and his name was there and immediately, an Angel appeared in front of him and said "Let's get you to where the others are." The godly man was immediately in a glorifi...

The Psychology of Leadership.

The Psychology of Leadership. True leadership is more than just keeping your people safe during a time of danger. It's about giving them a real sense of protection and assurance from harm, despite the dangers facing the country. It's about making the right decisions to protect the marginalized and the vulnerable, while keeping the rest of the public safe, good leaders will always reassure the people, not leaving them more vulnerable or even worse, left to die. Good leaders always recognize the Sovereignty of God in a crisis and personally ask for the assistance of God, despite the public backlash for doing so. Leaders are not just entrusted with the financial well being of the people, but also of the spiritual wellbeing of her people. In History the best leaders have always been believers in some form of a God. Good leaders face uncertainty with faith, not with more uncertainty, also willing to give up their comfort for the comfort of the people. Good leaders always acknowl...

The Psychology of Acceptance and Attachment.

The Psychology of Acceptance and Attachment. When things don't go our way, we work very hard to try to make them work our way. We sometimes can feel a deficit in our sense of self-worth, so we then begin at working very hard to be pleasing to ourselves and our families. When something goes wrong, we internalize it as negative self-worth, which in turn makes us feel that we look bad to other people. So we attempt to kill off the things in our lives that we feel created the deficiency thus propelling an immediate sense of self-worth, and because we temporarily eliminated the weaknesses that were making us feel powerless, we feel stronger. The problem with eliminating our deficit is that when we need a sense of self-assurance, it is no longer their? Why? Because the things that were making us feel powerless were giving us the strength to create a new sense of well being and self-worth and acceptance. When we seek out people to give us a real sense of security and self-worth, we ar...

The Psychology of Unattainable Desires.

The Psychology of Unattainable Desires. It's natural for men and women to want what they can't have. When things seem unattainable it makes that object seem more desirable. What happens when that thing you are constantly craving for seems to come closer to grasp? Well you want it even more. There is a euphoria that naturally happens when we seem to come closer to that object of desire, be that object God or something personal or material. This is why we hope and dream, because we anticipate the bliss and satisfaction we will feel when we reach our goal. Adolescence is filled with this type of wanting and desires. What happens when that thing we are craving doesn't immediately become our reality? Well we still want it more. It is natural to have right desires, desires that will give us a sense of joy and bliss. Peace of mind happens when we know our needs are being met. Having all our wants fulfilled doesn't necessarily give us peace of mind, but it can at times, pro...

Why a new social Convention?

Why a new social Convention? Social convention was a word we used to use before social distancing. The conventions of our society used to be lived out with an awareness that God is present with us, so we shouldn't do anything to piss Him off. I'm not saying when this changed, but it definitely shifted over the past 20 years. Slowly we forgot our responsibility towards God and our neighbours and this brought God's judgment in our society. We have lost a lot of common sense and freedom by pushing God out from our society. However, I believe this can be reversed if enough good people want to experience living with the real awareness that God is directing our lives again. But in order to do this we need to start doing things differently. We need to change the way we see God. The church has a distorted view of the Sovereignty of God, feeling that He no longer judges sin. The church has drifted so far, that they don't see the real need for forgiveness anymore. They are co...

10 Things you can do To Help you Cope in a Crisis.

10  Things you can do To Help you Cope in a Crisis. 1. Try not to think too much about the problem. This could cause something called depressive rumination which could lead to depression. 2. Stay reasonably informed about the problem, just as too much information can cause panic, too little information can leave you feeling more isolated and helpless. 3. Try telling yourself that whatever is happening to you will pass eventually. Do things that will give you a sense of empowerment like praying or journaling. 4. As far as you are possible take care of your physical and mental health. Try to avoid excessive checking-in because it could become a real trigger to cause you to feel more powerless and worried. Check-in when necessary but not to the extreme. 5. Entertain yourself and make appropriate jokes. Keeping a positive attitude could lessen your pain and lighten the mood in general. 6. Be present emotionally for yourself and others. Try not to jump to conclusions, and remind ...

Why we need to Call upon the Mercy of God.

Why we need to Call upon the Mercy of God. God in His eternality is infinitely Holy. We as His creatures are finite and by nature sinners. We need to calł upon the mercy of God because as sinners we deserve hell. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. We need to realize that we are nothing in ourselves and it is God who deserves our praise and our adoration. Pride was the fall of Satan, and it can be our fall too. Stubbornness and unbelief kept the Israelites in the desert for 40 years, as their refusal to obey God. We need God's mercy, because without it we live like rebels deserving of God's judgment and wrath. God's mercy is infinite and we need it to survive this trial that the world is facing right now. I have wondered why the world doesn't believe in God's mercy and I have concluded that they feel they don't deserve it (Which is why God gives it.) God gives some people a very hard life, and He gives others a relatively easy life, but when...

Bible Lessons we can Learn from Noah.

Bible Lessons we can Learn from Noah. Noah was a righteous man, living in an unrighteousness world. He found favour in the eyes of God, and God decided to spare him and his family during a time of worldwide crisis, otherwise known as the Flood. God made a covenant with Noah that says: 12 God said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations; 13 I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. 14 “It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud, 15 and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 “When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17 And Go...

What is the New Covenant?

What is the New Covenant? In order to understand Christianity one must understand what the new covenant is. In Old Testament times covenants were made to form an agreement or unbreakable bond between two people or groups of people. God of the Old Testament made unbreakable bonds or covenants with His people Israel. The Old Testament is a Covenant between God and His people, which Moses brought to the people. It was founded on the Law, with consequences for obedience and disobedience. The people not only had the law, but they had a sacrificial system for dealing with sin. Animals were sacrificed to cover, not remove sin, and there were priests that fulfilled this service to God. Mankind still had the guilt of their sins because the blood of bulls and goats couldn't take away sins. "But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins." Hebrews 10:3-4 | ESV Why then did God require this...

Environmental Foundations.

Environmental Foundations. Our Judaeo Christian heritage is not to blame for the current environmental crisis, and we do not need a new paradigm for our world view. When you take your faith seriously you already know that there is a God ordained connection between man and the earth. We were created out of dust, and to dust we shall return. As believers we are not only entrusted with our own salvation, but we are entrusted with the stewardship of the earth. Those believers who don't take seriously this stewardship will have to give an account to their God on judgement Day. To say that my worldview is contributing to the environmental crisis we are facing is oversimplifying the reality that God created this world, and He created all souls to steward this world for the glory of God and not to exploit it. I can't say it simply enough, this planet is a gift from God and we are in partnership with each other, and with our Creator to preserve this planet to the best of our abiliti...

Why the Church is Weak.

Why the Church is Weak. There is a saying that familiarity brings contempt, and could it be said that the 21st century church believes they are so familiar with Christ, that they feel they have no need to grow? Being a bible believer now is almost like a professional job, I don't mean to condemn my fellow brothers and sisters but the joy of being saved has left the building. The apostle Paul warned the Galatians; "13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another. (Galatians 5:13-15 | ESV) Warning about being justified by the law, the apostle warns the church to remain in love and to not consume each other through aggressive behaviour towards each other. The early believers were human just like we ar...
