Eschatology.

Eschatology.

Christ will descend to this world at an unexpected hour for those who are not waiting for his appearing. Those who are dead and are asleep in Christ will rise from the dead to meet the Lord in the air, with those Christians who are still alive, and so we shall be forever with the Lord. 13 "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 | NIV

This is my "blessed hope" as a saved person. I believe that one day, my Lord will come for me and I will live with Him forever. This world will not go on forever, and I will not be here forever, that is a lie, to believe that this world will go on forever. Christ is coming very soon to usher in eternity for all Christians dead or alive. As sure as he died for my sins, he will not let this world go on forever. We are all headed for the judgement day, where all will be revealed, every sin will be judged that has not been covered by the holy cross. Jesus Christ is my redemption and my bible tells me that one day I will see him face to face. I will be reunited will all saved people, who at that time will all be alive in Heaven.

Jesus didn't die for angels or demons, he died for human beings like me, and he shared in my nature as a human being, and he exists in Heaven right now as a human being. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh, and is God, but he is also human. He participates in my humanity and will do so for all eternity, no other human shares in the full divinity of Christ, that's why he died for me, because I am a sinner. Angels are not human therefore they were exempt from the benefits of the Lord's passion. Demons are fallen angels who are God's enemies, and will spend forever suffering in Hell along with other fallen sinners, who died outside of the Grace of God. God invites all human beings to live with Him forever in Heaven, but we are sinners and must accept Jesus and die in his grace.

Sin separates mankind from God, and this is the reason why God created Hell, to punish sin forever. If humans continue to live in their sins, they will die in their sins, and experience the full wrath of God forever, along with all the fallen angels. Heaven is a reward for being righteous, and we are positionally and practically made righteous through the merits of Jesus, and our faith in the Lord. To live like a sinner after receiving the grace of God merits only God's wrath. 1 "Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, 2 instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And God permitting, we will do so. 4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. 7 Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. 8 But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned." Hebrews 6:1-8 | NIV

Hebrews 10 confirms this too, "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God." Hebrews 10:26-27 | NIV There is no mercy for such a person who does this. There is no redemption for Satan either. The holy cross only covers the sins of humans who repent, not demons.

Age of Brokenness.

We are living in an age of brokenness, no matter what age you are, you probably have been touched with relationships falling apart, which causes more and more people to live in isolation. In this generation there is less of an incentive to heal and reconcile relationships, but that doesn’t excuse the amount of people who are broken. Why people don’t seem to be motivated to heal relationships is because our beliefs about faith and God have changed, really giving us less of an incentive to do what our religion says. If I act from my personal beliefs, but the person that I am responding to has abandoned religious beliefs, than the response to my wanting things to be better can be misinterpreted and rejected then by someone else. Generally when a society has expectations about broken relationships, loneliness and isolation, and the beliefs are generally accepted, society becomes a more compassionate society, because all value the same things. When religious values are undermined and ...

The Parable of the Ten Virgins.

Matthew 25:1-13 I have discovered a remarkable interpretation of this parable that I would like to share with you. The story in the Bible goes like this:    “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.   2  Five of them were foolish and five were wise.   3  The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.   4  The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.   5  The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6  “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ 7  “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.   8  The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ 9  “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy som...

The Existence of God

Since the beginning of time, man has learned about the existence of God. It began in the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve walked and talked with God, however when they sinned, they died spiritually and their closeness with God was severed. In Genesis 4:26 it reads “Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call on the name of the LORD.” Seth was the third son of Adam and Eve, so it’s fair to say that not too long after mankind fell, we also called upon the Lord.   From that time until now, mankind was closer to God then, but it’s a modern shift that the world is in the state it is in now, mainly unbelief, because even 30 years ago from now, mankind was closer to God. It is also true that in ancient Israel’s history, there have been generations that fell away and forgot God, but in the time of the prophets Israel was never left without a word from the Lord. Many generations have come and gone, but there have been remarkable generations all thr...
