A sense of false peace.

The question remains what does it take for two people or parties to be at peace with one another? Does it take diplomacy I was never a political science major in university but what I do know is that I have had my share of conflicts in my life. When nations fight against nations as it is predicted in the Bible what happened at the end times, when individual religious groups fights against another individual religious group, when my Christian ideology goes against your secular ideology, how can we find peace and reconciliation between the two of us when we both are hell-bent on our own ideas? Diplomacy works at a level that is very Temporel wars are caused when there are no solutions to the problems that we face. When faced with imminent danger countries and nations are either pushed into the response of fight or flight which can be equally important in our own individual lives. If we haven't prepared before hand and advanced for such conflicts as a people when these conflicts arise we will be pushed into a corner not knowing what to do.

One of my pastors told me a really cool story about Satan and how he tries to isolate the sheep representing Christians and when he can get an individual sheep all by himself Satan represented here as a lion will roar at the top of his lungs to devour the sheep. I'm not saying here that Israel here is the sheep but what I am saying is that Satan represents those countries and nations who fight against our country or nation's security and peace. No one likes war, and in my opinion it should be avoided at all cost the when we are being threatened by a minority or by the majority there is usually an ideology that stands behind this attack. If I come out tomorrow and say that I have become someone of a certain religion and my religion does not promote peace would my religion be excepted in my own country. For instance if my religion said that I had to conquer all people by the sword and I was allowed to practice my religion in my own country wouldn't that be illegal?

Living in a free country with freedom of religion does not necessarily mean that all religion should be free I'm not saying that we should persecute people of religious beliefs however we should look very closely at the doctrines in what they believe in if their doctrines promote peace and unity than I believe that religion is a religion that can provide a positive influence into our society. I don't believe in structuring a society around man-made rules and regulations but what I do believe in order for us to have a peaceful society is also to have peaceful laws which protect our people. I believe in the Judeo Christian law based system in our country. Any religion that promotes the destruction of the nation in which it stands should be made illegal. There are many peaceful religions out there there are many isms and schisms which do not have as their objective the destruction of the societies around them. Even if my religion teaches me that it is okay to lie does not necessarily mean that my religion is promoting the self protection of the society around me.

There have been many peaceful people in all walks of life and in all societies but if in their heart of hearts they're holding onto truths and doctrines that do not promote peace how can we see that that person is actually a peaceful person when in there heart believe something that is false. When my truth about life trumps your truth about life then we are left with a moral dilemma who's truth do we believe that we believe in moral relativism or do we believe in objective truth who is the winner in this. My contention is that no one wins I believe when you are in a war with someone there will always be casualties the trick to winning this war so to speak with another people person or thing is not to destroy that other person by your ideas but it is to find common ground on which you can invite that person to join or to not join. Whenever you force to convert or to change or to draw someone into your messianic or ideal world, you will always result in that person defecting from your worldview whatever you were with worldview is. A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.  Force never changes anyone it is the power of love and grace which truly transforms the human heart too end wars and conflicts one must extend true grace and truth humility and true mercy if anyone is lacking these things the end result of peace will be a false pease it will not be a true peace therefore one must be sincere in his heart always at all times never harbouring ill will to any person than their religion will stand, without deception. This is Mike.

Age of Brokenness.

We are living in an age of brokenness, no matter what age you are, you probably have been touched with relationships falling apart, which causes more and more people to live in isolation. In this generation there is less of an incentive to heal and reconcile relationships, but that doesn’t excuse the amount of people who are broken. Why people don’t seem to be motivated to heal relationships is because our beliefs about faith and God have changed, really giving us less of an incentive to do what our religion says. If I act from my personal beliefs, but the person that I am responding to has abandoned religious beliefs, than the response to my wanting things to be better can be misinterpreted and rejected then by someone else. Generally when a society has expectations about broken relationships, loneliness and isolation, and the beliefs are generally accepted, society becomes a more compassionate society, because all value the same things. When religious values are undermined and ...

The Parable of the Ten Virgins.

Matthew 25:1-13 I have discovered a remarkable interpretation of this parable that I would like to share with you. The story in the Bible goes like this:    “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.   2  Five of them were foolish and five were wise.   3  The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.   4  The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.   5  The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6  “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ 7  “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.   8  The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ 9  “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy som...

The Existence of God

Since the beginning of time, man has learned about the existence of God. It began in the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve walked and talked with God, however when they sinned, they died spiritually and their closeness with God was severed. In Genesis 4:26 it reads “Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call on the name of the LORD.” Seth was the third son of Adam and Eve, so it’s fair to say that not too long after mankind fell, we also called upon the Lord.   From that time until now, mankind was closer to God then, but it’s a modern shift that the world is in the state it is in now, mainly unbelief, because even 30 years ago from now, mankind was closer to God. It is also true that in ancient Israel’s history, there have been generations that fell away and forgot God, but in the time of the prophets Israel was never left without a word from the Lord. Many generations have come and gone, but there have been remarkable generations all thr...
