On growing old.

Last year I celebrated my 40th birthday this November I will be turning 41. It pretty much seems just like yesterday when I was living with a bunch of guys in a house in Peterborough Ontario and attending Trent University. I had just come out of a rocky relationship, Rocky for me because I couldn't understand why the person didn't want to have a relationship anymore but despite that I still remain friends with that person however my life journey had begun to take place kind of like a train going one direction without any stops in between it. I enjoyed waking up early mornings and taking the bus to Trent University. Even though it was pretty much alone, I did meet a couple of friends that I knew from Toronto but I was working for Greenpeace there. University life was not suited for me I came to that conclusion when I was required to write my first essay. I don't remember the topic on which I had to write but I'm pretty sure it was for my native studies class I was stud...

The new form of Natzism.

It is funny how evil tends to remake itself in different forms. The title of this blog refers to something that I would referred to in the Bible as the wicked constantly reinventing evil. How does a society who is so evil already begin to invent new forms of evil? And why would we want to discuss wickedness in this blog anyways? With civil unrest in many countries, and societies literally descending into immoral absoluteness, The morality of which must be questioned and a very dogmatic and pretty pragmatic way. There is nothing pretty about evil but to discuss this in a pragmatic way gives us an understanding of how far society has descended into the abyss of sin. It first started out as a denial of God then progressed as a denial of hell and now it is progressing as a denial of heaven. What do you say to many of the Christian saints who are now in the abode of paradise who are enjoying the blissful treats of their earthly desires so to speak if that's what Heaven is really like? W...

A sense of false peace.

The question remains what does it take for two people or parties to be at peace with one another? Does it take diplomacy I was never a political science major in university but what I do know is that I have had my share of conflicts in my life. When nations fight against nations as it is predicted in the Bible what happened at the end times, when individual religious groups fights against another individual religious group, when my Christian ideology goes against your secular ideology, how can we find peace and reconciliation between the two of us when we both are hell-bent on our own ideas? Diplomacy works at a level that is very Temporel wars are caused when there are no solutions to the problems that we face. When faced with imminent danger countries and nations are either pushed into the response of fight or flight which can be equally important in our own individual lives. If we haven't prepared before hand and advanced for such conflicts as a people when these conflicts arise...

Vicky Beeching's coming out.

It has seemed yet another Christian artist who has great influence within the CCM and Christian worship world has come out recently and said that she is attracted to members of the same sex. This doesn't come as a surprise to me because I know for a fact that there are many professing evangelical Christians and born-again Christians who have same-sex desires. Hiding within the church are many people who are confused about their sexual identity and have no recourse or community to express those believes to. Some people are very confused about the interpretation of the Bible and concern to homosexuality. There are a few verses in the New Testament which refer to homosexuality is being a sin one of them being first Corinthians chapter 6 starting at verse nine. The context of this verse what is made clear at the end when the apostle Paul says and such were some of you. I guess I should quote this verse.  Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not b...

Where there is no peace.

We all dream of a life where we get along with one another. We dream of a good marriage and a good family and we also dream of good health for physical bodies. When one of these is lacking we tend to become very restless people. So restless that wars and troubles begin for many people who lack a greater sense of peace and self-awareness. I can tell you from experience a greater sense of self-awareness may not solve the problem but it will provide some solutions to what you are looking for. There are so many books on self-help and ways to make you live a better life, you may be asking with so much suffering in the world what point is it if I cannot even afford my next meal. Another question you might be asking is does the end of the war cause the end of all suffering? The answer to that question is no there is great pain experienced when people fight one another. Politics is not the answer. When a little child is hungry and crying for his mommy all he really wants is to be comforted. ...
