Post ramatic stripe syndrome.

Funny title huh? Let's talk about dreams. Not the ones you dream at night, but the ones you dream about during the day. I'm 38 now and I think it a fair assesment to say that we never stop dreaming. Yes Sigmund Freud our dreams come from our ego and are shaped by our childhood, but why do we dream? We dream because it makes like worth living. We are given only one life, and we all have the desire for transcendence. Are dreams bad? Let me try to define by what I am refering to as a dream. A goal of unusual proportions, sometimes in proportion to our talent, sometimes not, and the ability to pursue and realize our potential in an exceptional way. Don't trample on my dreams, because some of them are coming true. God gives us our dreams, and for some he gives the talents and the opportunities to realize them. You have to dream first in order for any chance at your dreams coming true. Only some people are ready to realize them. There is no garantee that if you dream something th...

Two eggs, One bacon.

Last night wasn't a great night. I was awakened at three am in the morning, by a Police man flashing a light in my room and seeing if I was ok. I am living with my parents right now, and last night my mom was asleep in her room, my dad was downstairs watching tv when obviously the doorbell rang. According to his account the police forced their way into our house and asked to check the bedrooms to see if everybody was ok. Obviously they didn't realise that they were in the wrong house, but that didn't faze my dad or the police. I am wondering if my dad had a sinister look on his face, that the police had to 'force their way into our house'. I have a healthy fear of the police, let's just say they scare me to death, especially when they open your bedroom door at three am in the morning and flash a light on your face, when you are asleep and haven't committed any crime.

What is an environmental crisis?

Ecology: the relations of organisms to one another and to their physical surroundings. Just what defines a culture in crisis? I have been in hiding for twelve years or maybe longer and have awakened to a world that is clearly in denial. The environmental movement has been categorised as a leftist movement requiring absolutely no attention from conservatives, lest you be titled a radical, pot smoking hippie, who is clearly out of touch with the conservative media biased issues, that dilute the truth, and shame the poor. No I am not an environmentalist, but I support them. I can see that this leaves me with not much to say, because I am clearly one of the enemies, but if I had a voice or I had a platform this is what I would say: We are now living in the twenty first century and things have become more and less confusing. Where computers were an enigma in the early 90's, children are teaching their parents who belonged to the original computer generation how to do things on the com...

But I thought you said "a bus."

She said "let me out of this f#@! room or I'm going to kill myself!" Then she opened the window and jumped. She landed on the grass, picked herself up and started running. She ran to a catholic church, but they wouldn't let her in. She ran to an Anglican church, but they couldn't understand her. They asked her to stay, but she kept on running. She ran to the mall, but she had no money. She asked a stranger to buy her a coffee and he did. He said "What is your name?" She said "Jane." "Why are you running?" he said, " because they won't let me" she said. "They won't let you what?" he said. "They won't let me watch the tv, and my favourite show was on..running with the stars...have you seen it?" she said. "Can't say I have, but you seem to be very upset about this..is there anything else you like to do on a Thursday night?" he said with a wicked grin on his face. "I like to pla...

When the wicked prosper.

Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses. At first glace at his word we see that there is no prosperity in the sinful man. He will perish. There is no need to worry and fix our hope in things that are not true because sooner than later the wicked have what is coming to them. The evil man seems to prosper but the bible teaches us that he will not go unpunished. When the wicked keep on in their sin, they think that they are getting away with it, but God promises that the will be wounded. They will melt like wax, and the presence of the Lord will consume them. Not sin goes unpu...

Caught in the tide of Post Modernity.

Most of us remember learning our A, B, C's but it seems our culture is stuck in a pre- twenty first century mind set. With all the advancements in technology, medicine and so forth, I don't think any of us were prepared for the twenty first century. Certainly not the church of Jesus Christ. We have had to adapt to the negative changes in our culture, in a pre- twenty first century way by conforming to our culture which has proven to be unfruitful and chaotic at best. With our double espresso long, and our skinny cinnamon dolche latte decafs we have taken the material things of our past century and have transferred them into the future. The music is a bit more wild, and the quality of education and entertainment has relatively stayed the same, with a few minor exceptions. But the quality of the twenty first century man has dramatically degenerated, into a once forbidden fruit which has almost ripened and is waiting to be plucked. The search for the meaning of life still st...

Heaven is a Place.

You might of heard it said somewhere that heaven, the place you go after you die is just a state of mind or an other dimension where disembodied spirits live awaiting the rapture or the second coming of Christ, where they will receive resurrected bodies at the general resurrection. Nothing is further from the truth. Yes I believe that when a saved person dies they enter the presence of Christ, but the bible says nothing about ephemeral spirits floating around in space, as some bible teachers teach us. What heaven is or what it looks like has not been revealed to mortals, since we cannot see through the time space continuum until we die, and if you have never been saved then you will never experience heaven, but God will is that before you pass you would have had an opportunity to enter into Salvation by being born again. I believe that Heaven is a real place because the bible teaches that it is. There are many chapters that refer to the abode of the dead, and in that abode lies heave...
