Should Christians be Players?

I would love to make this blog a theological treaty and that's what I am purposed to do. Let me just say right off the bat, if you are a player you are not a christian. If you think someone is playing you and they claim to be regenerated they have never had their sins forgiven. If you are playing someone and you suspect that person is playing you, you have allot of theological explaining to do, and I warn you as did the apostle Paul, those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. God is not a player and neither are his followers. Let me explain to you afresh what Salvation means.

When you become converted or born again you are given a new nature. You still have your sin nature that is why it is explained, do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Salvation is God creating a redeemed species and that is what the new birth is. In the gospel of John, Jesus says you must be born again. Read those last two words very slowly...born again. The new birth is not just about putting on some new cloths on top of your old ones, it is not calling a pig a peacock, the new birth is impossible to see with our eyes, and no matter how righteous you appear to be if you have never been regenerated by the word and the spirit, you are not saved. How do you know you have been born again.

You have a clear or guilt free conscience. That's what Hebrews talks about. The conscience could not be made clean by sacrifice, it took the washing of the word and the blood of Jesus to free us forever from guilt, and the penalty of sin. If you have never experience a totally guilt free conscience you have never been saved by God. Salvation is not just an inner thing that we claim, subjectively but Jesus died for Christians to free them from a guilty conscience. (Hebrew 9:9, Hebrews 9:14 and 10:2)

There are times when you sin that you may feel overwhelming guilt, but if you are saved and your conscience is condemn you, read Psalm 51 and confess your sins to God. Let the word of God be born and live in you if you have never been saved. This is impossible to live free from guilt forever if you don't know what real salvation is. I'll give you a hint: it begins with confession, confession that you are a sinner and confession that Jesus is Lord. (Romans 10) it ends with faith which is trust.

You trust Jesus to forgive your sin and you receive him (trust him) as your Lord and Saviour. When you feel guilty it might be because you have never had the full gospel preached to you and you must be born again, or you are harbouring sin in your heart, which is a test that you don't really know God, or it is real sin that you must confess, or it is false quilt, usually brought on by Satan or other people.

Read Psalm 51 if you are feeling guilty.

Age of Brokenness.

We are living in an age of brokenness, no matter what age you are, you probably have been touched with relationships falling apart, which causes more and more people to live in isolation. In this generation there is less of an incentive to heal and reconcile relationships, but that doesn’t excuse the amount of people who are broken. Why people don’t seem to be motivated to heal relationships is because our beliefs about faith and God have changed, really giving us less of an incentive to do what our religion says. If I act from my personal beliefs, but the person that I am responding to has abandoned religious beliefs, than the response to my wanting things to be better can be misinterpreted and rejected then by someone else. Generally when a society has expectations about broken relationships, loneliness and isolation, and the beliefs are generally accepted, society becomes a more compassionate society, because all value the same things. When religious values are undermined and ...

The Parable of the Ten Virgins.

Matthew 25:1-13 I have discovered a remarkable interpretation of this parable that I would like to share with you. The story in the Bible goes like this:    “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.   2  Five of them were foolish and five were wise.   3  The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.   4  The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.   5  The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6  “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ 7  “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.   8  The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ 9  “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy som...

The Existence of God

Since the beginning of time, man has learned about the existence of God. It began in the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve walked and talked with God, however when they sinned, they died spiritually and their closeness with God was severed. In Genesis 4:26 it reads “Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call on the name of the LORD.” Seth was the third son of Adam and Eve, so it’s fair to say that not too long after mankind fell, we also called upon the Lord.   From that time until now, mankind was closer to God then, but it’s a modern shift that the world is in the state it is in now, mainly unbelief, because even 30 years ago from now, mankind was closer to God. It is also true that in ancient Israel’s history, there have been generations that fell away and forgot God, but in the time of the prophets Israel was never left without a word from the Lord. Many generations have come and gone, but there have been remarkable generations all thr...
