The world is not a stranger, there are sites to see and places to go. But what became of the person that I used to know a blog a blog of poetry a blog of words meaningless until human beings put meeting to them.  I used to know a man who rambled quite a bit and was incoherent and what he said something like the homeless person that you see walking down the street on a cold winters day with no shoes on! Some people in strategic leadership positions Face a great hurdle trying to bring new ideas into a company or into society. One of the things that has to be overcome is the indifference of people to except new ideas. The most successful ideas that could be excepted always comes with an incentive, but what if there is no incentive to offer does that idea just float away into the ether? I would say the idea then becomes the incentive itself. In a good marriage there is give-and-take, you take in the groceries and I'll vacuum the carpet, you shoveled the driveway and I'll do the laundry! The give-and-take and the incentives can be endless in a relationship defined as marriage. But should incentives determine whether or not we will succeed in a business venture or not? Living a life as a 40 something has many challenges and advantages compared to when I was younger. The obvious one being that I'm still single, but the more complicated and difficult challenges that life throws at you you are more aware and prepared to handle something that may have given you more trouble when you were younger. I became a born-again Christian when I was 21, fell in love and then fell out of love. The romance department has been kind of well let's just say not happening, but that isn't a cause for depression... It's a cause to look at things as they really are! Most people my age would be extremely depressed that they had met that special someone yet, and believe me I know that there are people out there who are in the same situation that I'm in! Yet what the singleness have to offer compare to being in a relationship they are two completely different things. My journey has not always been an easy one, but it has been graced by Mercy and truth even when I was in rebellion against God. I came to a saving knowledge of the gospel when I was 21 but quickly backslid back into a life of sin, not sin in it's full power however I was backslidden enough not to realize that I was in the spiritual danger. This is where the story gets good. I remember attending the lollapalooza  in my early 20s with a friend of mine. The first band onstage was Cypress Hill, I was not at Cypress Hill fan at the time and neither was the friend the female friend that I went with to the concert. We made our way closer to the front of the stage, and happened to come across some old friends of mine. As the song by Cypress Hill came out, a lot of people around us starting lighting up.. I happened to come across a quote on Facebook yesterday, The quote is provided in the picture below and the reads  "When these small groups are created within the community of God's people, these people believe they are being good Christians and also are acting in good faith maybe, but they are small groups who have privatized salvation." Pope Francis January 29, 2015. This morning I woke up early and went to blog talk radio and logged into my account and was going to give an audio commentary on what I believe the pope meant by those statements. There have been many cultural trends of the 21st-century. But an in-depth analysis would not bring any insight into her current condition. However there was one trend that needs to be enlightened, I would say this trend is instant gratification. People in general have become slothful and indifferent to the realities around them, in an instant society our work is bogged down with personal affairs, and we don't have the time for those of us were working to do our jobs properly as we should. The indifference is calculated, Cold and manipulative. There was one thing that might make a difference in that thing is, social media. I have nothing bad to say about social media. But the trend that continues to manifest itself in the face of public opinion, is that society longs for something that it cannot achieve. I don't think it is fair to say that the church is in crisis right now. When we don't know what to say we should say the same thing that we were saying 2000 years ago. Whether the message seems to be irrelevant, or relevant for the 21st-century, The message should not change, but should be brought forth a new power and authority according to what the word of God teaches. We are not telling you to preach a new gospel, that would be no gospel at all. What we are saying determines the outcome of how the culture will view the church which in my opinion is irrelevant. The church has tried for years to conform to society in not being an offense to those who do not yet believe. But the current crisis demands that we continue to preach what was being preached by the early disciples and apostles of Jesus Christ. Cultural irrelevance should be our motto now and until Christ returns which could be at any moment for his bride the church.  Scripture should be our guide and our course of ac...
