The dog with no teeth.

Hey waiter there is an order that table number five, please see to it that everyone gets exactly what they want and there are no complaints. As the horizon outside the window begins to appear gray all the people inside especially the ones in hospital beds wonder what is going on. Have we been transported out of this earth into another galaxy where exactly are we right now? Just then a thunderous earthquake takes place and shatters all the chairs and tables that the people are sitting on. We're not in Kansas anymore one person replies and then sits down on a broken chair. The entire hospital/restaurant that we were in has now been transported to another dimension. Just then screams are heard violent screams that make you have nightmares at night. Is there any hope for any of us one person asked. Not with these Martians or aliens or whatever you want to call him roaming the earth. They are like pods they have no sense of right or wrong. But who are these alien people and why have they taken over our city? One person responds I think they used to be angels and they are no longer angels anymore so now they roam the earth trying to cause havoc amongst the people who live there. Oh did they used to fly ask the little child with the glimmer of glee on his face. A large man stands up and said of course we used to fly why do you think we are here now we are very very upset. Just then another little boy said well then why have we been placed here we didn't do anything wrong we want to be free we want to go back to our hospital homeland. Just then a voice from above somewhat very calming and soothing said my son I have placed you here to defeat the havoc causing the monsters. Just then a monster got really upset and started to squealing to squeal like a little pig who was going off the slaughter. It reminds me of the story of Jesus and the Bible when he told the demons to come out of that man and enter the pigs and the pigs all rushed headlong into the waters.

Just then another frightened little girl said mommy mommy why do we have to live with these havoc causing monsters can't they just go away? Why don't you know little darling that we are now not like them but we are almost like cousins to them in a sense. What do you mean screemed the little girl I don't want to be related to these evil creatures how do you say that we are related to them? We are in Exile now but our brothers and sisters the good angels are still in their proper domain yet they come here and comfort us while these evil creatures are causing havoc. Just then the voice from above spoken said yes Littlechild because of Him your brother you do not have to do with these evil creatures do but you have to somewhat live with their habit causing mischief creatures. The voice continued to say in a very calm way, 2000 years ago I sent my son to this earth to live among you and among these creatures yet these creatures and some very evil men put my son to death, but it was all in my plan to save you and your family from these evil  creatures and an eternity with them. What was your son's name and how do we get to know him asked all the people who had been transported to this planet. He will reveal himself to you when you are ready said the voice from above. Just then the creatures got very upset and started to scream into how out-of-control. And the voice from above said creatures you have been defeated and you know it my son paid the penalty for these people sins you are doomed to an eternity in torment the same torment that you are inflicting upon my people.

Just then we were transported back to our hospital/restaurant and it was as if nothing had ever changed. There was only one difference now the creatures in the noise that we heard on Earth had become silent and all the good people from Earth were now with us in our restaurant/hospital. And we lived happily ever after.

Catholic Identity.

I was born into the Catholic Church and was baptized as an infant, I had my first communion and reconciliation as a child, and was confirmed as a teenager. Although I was never devout, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour when I was 21 through an evangelical Christian radio ministry, which in turn gave new life to my Catholic faith. Although I remained a Catholic, I identified as a born again Christian. It wasn’t until much later in my life that I learned the difference between the two denominations and what they taught about being born again. Regardless, there was a significant change in my life back then, which continues to this day. Being Catholic is much like an identity to me and I remember growing up under the papacy of St. Pope John Paul II. The culture I grew up in was largely affected by his papacy, and the way the culture viewed the church was significantly different from the way the current culture views it. Growing up, the pope didn’t try to be rele...

Age of Brokenness.

We are living in an age of brokenness, no matter what age you are, you probably have been touched with relationships falling apart, which causes more and more people to live in isolation. In this generation there is less of an incentive to heal and reconcile relationships, but that doesn’t excuse the amount of people who are broken. Why people don’t seem to be motivated to heal relationships is because our beliefs about faith and God have changed, really giving us less of an incentive to do what our religion says. If I act from my personal beliefs, but the person that I am responding to has abandoned religious beliefs, than the response to my wanting things to be better can be misinterpreted and rejected then by someone else. Generally when a society has expectations about broken relationships, loneliness and isolation, and the beliefs are generally accepted, society becomes a more compassionate society, because all value the same things. When religious values are undermined and ...

The Biblical Meaning of “Life in the Spirit.”

“Life in the Spirit” is an example that the Apostle Paul gives in the book of Romans starting in chapter 5 and going through to chapter 8. He begins by telling us we are justified by faith (5:1), and have gained access by faith into the grace of God (5:2). We have been delivered from God’s wrath (5:9) and we have been reconciled to God through the death of His Son (5:10). He goes on to explain that through Adam all die (5:12), and that the free Gift of God brings justification and righteousness to the believing sinner (5:15-17).   Through our conversion we are baptized into Christ and into his death, which frees us from the law and makes us dead to sin (6:2-4). He explains that just as Christ was raised from the dead, we are given new life in Christ (6:4). Our old unregenerate self was crucified with Christ so that our body of sin might be done away with (6:5-6). Because we have died to sin, we now submit ourselves to God being that we are now under grace, not the law (6:8-1...
