What is a Faith Crisis?

A faith crisis is when your faith refuses to believe, despite the obvious evidences that the difficulties reveal to you about God. It’s stubborn faith that needs proof, that is faith becomes something that needs evidence. It’s this unnatural desire for proof that creates the crisis and sustains it, so long as proof for the reason why we are suffering cannot be found and all attempts to find the esoteric reason why this is happening have been frustrated. Faith cannot rely on evidence, otherwise it would not be faith. Faith must rely on trust on the object of it’s faith, which brings love, joy and happiness.   Faith becomes natural again when it simply trusts despite the evidence telling it not to trust or believe. It is renewed by the natural inclination to believe despite the necessary evidences that the crisis thought it should reveal to the person at the time of despair and or of loss and crisis. Faith matures through trust and it is strengthened through deeper trust, that doesn’t

What is Spiritual Adultery?

Spiritual adultery is when a Christian or anyone for that matter is married to the world, rather than to Christ. In James 4 it reads “What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions[ a ] are at war within you?[ b ]  2  You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.  3  You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.  4  You adulterous people![ c ] Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.  5  Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us”?  6  But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”  7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  8

Isaiah 65

God’s bible can speak to us especially when we are feeling overwhelmed at the trials we are forced to go through in this life. It was written during ancient times, but it is applicable in every generation. The bible has the power not only to communicate God’s thoughts and ways, but it still has the power to rescue and save us. Because God’s bible is eternal, it will be the basis of our judgment when we die, no matter when it was written. The bible is like a precious mine, where we can find priceless gems and minerals. It might seem like a daunting task to discover the truths found in it, but I assure you, it is one of the ways God still speaks to his children today.     The bible isn’t just a truth book, it is the very words of God, and with the right attitude and spirit we can understand God’s plan of salvation, and what God’s will for our lives are in all generations. Here is a portion of the bible found in Isaiah 65. Isaiah was a real person and a prophet of God that lived in the

Form verses Function in Ministering the Gospel.

Form is the outward experience that a type of ministry takes in order to minister the gospel to the people of God. Form can change over the years so long as the function of the ministry stays the same. The function of the ministry is vitally important and is essential in it’s nature to properly communicate the message you are preaching in order to convert people and win them to Christ. The function of Christianity is to spread the message that Jesus Christ died for our sins and was resurrected for our justification. The message of the cross is the way we communicate our message to the people, that they must repent and be converted in order to be saved. This is the function that we use, but the way we communicate this message has changed over the years.   Form can also refer to how a church operates, or the ‘forms’ it uses in it’s ministerial patterns in order to communicate a message. Church government usually determines how this is done, but as lay people we can make requests accord

What Upholds a Nation?

I personally believe the way we live our lives, collectively and individually determines how a country sustains itself. Over the years Canada has taken on a progressive mentality and in my opinion forgotten the basic elements of life that are sustaining and life giving. Canada was a different nation over twenty years ago, and it has been the majority not the minority that has brought a different life so to speak to this country. I believe that a country needs to support life if it is going to sustain itself and create a Culture where everyone can thrive.  When we pass laws that promote death, we are killing the heart and the soul of this country. What we believe is essential, and as time has progressed I really don't see a country that is thriving. Living with a disability is hard for me because I see a perspective that was hidden previous to my disability. I am more aware of how a country is shaped by it's political and religious views, and I see how divided the world is righ

When the Cares of this World are Getting to You.

Jesus told a parable about the sower and the seed, and how the seed is planted on different kinds of soil. The soil represents the state of our hearts and of our minds, and our relationship to the word of God after we hear it being preached. There are four examples in the parable found in Matthew 13, one is the path, the other is rocky places, the other is among thorns and the last example is the seed that fell on good soil. In all these examples the condition of our hearts are represented as I will explain what they are in the parable.   The seed sown on the path represents a heart that doesn’t understand the word of God, the birds that snatch the seed represents Satan, who takes the word away from us. The rocky places represents our hearts when they have no root, we hear the word with joy but with no solid foundation to grow that word or seed, the seed can’t grow and we fall away. Our foundation has to be in Christ in this scenario for the word of God to grow. The seed that is sown
