How Far Can We Go?

How Far Can We Go? Jeremiah was a prophet who was dealing with a people who forgot the Lord. God told Jeremiah that His people no longer knew Him. 22 “For my people are foolish; they know me not; they are stupid children; they have no understanding. They are ‘wise’—in doing evil! But how to do good they know not.” Jeremiah 4:22 | ESV There is a similarity today how people live now, as compared to Jeremiah's time. Nobody wanted to listen to the truth, so God used this prophet to pronounce their judgement. "I looked on the earth, and behold, it was without form and void; and to the heavens, and they had no light. 24 I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking, and all the hills moved to and fro. 25 I looked, and behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the air had fled. 26 I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a desert, and all its cities were laid in ruins before the Lord, before his fierce anger. Jeremiah 4:23c-26 | ESV God made their land a waste...

Why we can't live without Hope.

Why we can't live without hope. Hope gives us a reason to live. There was never a happier time in my life than when I had hope. It's easy to think that things can't get better and that is one of the reasons why we give up. Hope doesn't have to come from having things, but when we have things we can still lose hope. A health crisis, an unhappy marriage can give us reason to believe that we will miss out on being happy. When things are really bad we might need someone to carry us or pick us up. It's nice to feel secure but hope comes from believing there is a future. Part of the cause of my depression in 1999 was feeling that I wasn't going to have a future, therefore I had no reason to keep believing. I let my circumstances literally crush me, but now I don't blame myself, because I see that I was just human and fragile, just like everyone else. It took me 20 years to see that I needed to forgive myself for losing hope. It was a fight, and it is a struggl...

The Roots of Religion.

The Roots of Religion. One's convictions should be based on history. The more we all remember about the world and our place in it the more we can bring to our present moments in our current history. Present moments should be shaped by our collective good, not our collective evil. Mankind has the power to commit great good if our will is strong, but our wills must be shaped by the good in history, not the evil. To forget what is our peace is a mistake, peace begins by trying to be good, and morality is a start. There is no need to try to be good on your own for this is impossible. Our society must change direction, for this is the way we saved ourselves in the past. There is a lot of encouragement and psychological therapy, but this must not be done in a bubble or isolation, there has to be choices that shape the direction of cities, towns etc, and that starts by you helping other people. The roots of all religion must be courage and thankfulness. Without courage we would give i...

God's Justice.

No Going Forwards Without Looking Back. When you sin and hurt someone and then continue to move forwards in your life, you are preparing yourself for ultimate failure and judgement. As a Christian you need to make every effort to resolve conflict now and live in peace with other men and women, and with God. You will not pass the great judgement or your particular judgement after you die with unforgiveness in your heart, and unresolved conflict with other people. God has given you one life in which to glorify God, and the more and more you ignore His existence the worse your Judgment will be at the end of time. People used to live with the mindset that the Judgement Day was always coming, the fact that people sin now and feel no remorse is proof that mankind is still loosing their way. God is writing everything that is happening here in books, and if you die in your sins you will have to answer for all the sins of omission and commission, the things you didn't do and the things ...

Lord Hear our Prayer.

Lord Hear our Prayer. For the starving child who will go to bed hungry tonight. For the mother and child who don't have a bed. For those who are trying to live in a world that has forgotten love and peace. For those who have grown tired and indifferent to what is right and good. For domestic slavery. For innocent victims of abuse and violence. For those caught in between peace and war. For love to return to this country. For the poor and handicapped and elderly. For those forgotten by society. For the mentally ill. For religious zealots. For broken people and broken families. For those in our government. For just laws and just wars. For all the homeless. For mistreated pets and wild animals. For our environment and the extinction of our planet. For travellers and refugees. For those unjustly imprisioned. For the innocent. For single mothers. For single fathers. For children of divorce. For those who are dying. For those who think they will never die. For the forgotten. For the ...

How this World is Being Prepared for the anti-Christ.

How this World is Being Prepared for the anti-Christ. As Christians we know that the destabilization of the world, the lawlessness and the violence are preparing the way for a super human messianic figure known throughout bible history as the anti-Christ. Let the word of God speak for itself, 1 Now, dear brothers and sisters, let us clarify some things about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered to meet Him. 2 Don’t be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don’t believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us. 3 Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed–the one who brings destruction. 4 He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God...
