So it's almost approaching Easter time and there's lots to do. Coming from a Roman Catholic background, easter time was always a very serious time of the year. Now that I am a part of a nondenominational church, easter takes on a new importance for me. I was talking with my mom the other day and I asked her if she thought it was strange that I don't attend a Catholic church anymore. I don't believe anyone in my immediate family feels that it's somewhat peculiar, but the question I should be asking is to myself do I think it's strange that I know longer attend a Catholic church? I would have to say that I don't know how to respond to this question, other than what I've been learning over the past several years which has led me out of the Catholic Church and into Pentecostalism and nondenominational is something called doctrine. Being a 41 year-old male right now, and also when I was in my 30s.. I started to form my own doctrinal beliefs based on evangelical Christianity. I was even rebaptized in 2007 in a Pentecostal church where I live in Markham. Some of my friends who are still Catholic may wonder why I got baptized again? The answer to this question is doctrine! Doctrine: a belief or set of beliefs held and taught by a church, political party, or other group.
"the doctrine of predestination"
synonyms: | creed, credo, dogma, belief, teaching, ideology; More I guess the question to answer here is who's doctrine are you believing? Another question can be asked is that does doctrine save you? The answer to this question is yes doctrine does save you through faith in that doctrine simply believing in a doctrine will not bring you into a relationship with Jesus Christ this is what Christianity teaches. Again faith in a doctrine saves but just simply believing it doesn't. You maybe wondering what is the definition of faith and what is the definition of belief? If I believe in something doesn't that mean that I have faith in it? The proper definition of faith is an active trust in something. Another way to say it is are you willing to surrender your life to something that you have faith in? If you believe in a creator you believe in a doctrine that doesn't necessarily mean that you have faith in that. The Bible says that it is it is our faith which justifies you were justified by faith says Romans. Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5:1. The definition of belief is as follows;
