Cataclysmic times.

The question now rises will man ever find peace within himself and with his fellow human beings? As a born-again Christian we are taught that man is filled with sin and filled with trouble until the time when Christ comes to redeem the world. I had a conversation with a close friend of mine the other day and part of that conversation was due to the fact that man's restlessness in society has reached a point where it is almost impossible for them to find a sense of peace within themselves and with each other. The Church of Jesus Christ has often not been a hindrance to peace but the church in history has proven many times and time again that peace is possible within the human soul. There are many spiritual paths it doesn't take one to believe in God to understand that the remedy to the restlessness and our hearts is found only through a deep relationship with the God who created them. In the Old Testament Moses taught that the law says that when one is offended or when one is done harm to but we should repay that person in kind. But the New Testament in Jesus blood offers man and alternative way to solve our problems that is through forgiveness at the reconciliation.

Jesus died on the cross to pay the sins for those who would place their faith and trust in him, And anyone who comes to the cross and true repentance and faith and believes that Jesus is Lord and rose again on the third day will be reconciled to a righteous God for now and for eternity. But what about the peace in man's heart and the wars and the rumors of wars that are happening nowadays in our Western world. Jesus taught us in the Gospels that there would be times like these before his coming to the earth the second time to Judge sin. But that doesn't mean that the guilty will be justified what it means is that we should be occupying our time with ways to reconcile the world to God through the meritorious death of Jesus on the cross. There is a feeling within man's heart now that humanity as we know it and it's peaceful ways are slowly escalating it to more and more violence. To "Solomon that there's a time for war there's a time for peace gives us indication that there are times in human history when war is inevitable but should we be seeking after ways to destroy one another? My answer to that question is a profound no.

The cause of this indifference to the Gospel and it's message of reconciliation to God is causing them to become more and more frustrated and angry in their own lives. As world leaders age they are becoming more and more restless to the point where power is there ultimate goal. Men's flesh has always proved to be a hindrance to individual peace and peace within a society. We live in bodies and if you are a Christians the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. This distracted energy that is consuming the world is a reflection of man's own  restlessness within his own being. If men cannot be at peace with himself how can he be at peace with others? Michael Jackson had a song called "man in the mirror" in the song he talked about changing himself first before you changed other people . St. Augustine said man is restless until he finds rest in God. How do we find rest in God when the majority of people now adays don't even believe in God this is the thesis to this blog. How can you save the world when the world does not want to be saved? I say go deep within your own human heart look at your life and realize that your life is only a vapor at the end of this life you're going to face your God! What will you say to him when he asks you why you did not believe in him?

Our church is doing a series night right now called "we the church" it's made me to reflect on how we as human beings have looked at the church through the lenses of denominationalism and consumerism. I think when we look at the church as a place that is apropos to a marketplace, or a place where we can simply get our needs met, we fail to see the church as a reconciliation agent of God. If men are failing to be reconciled to God through the churches preaching of the gospel where do we go from here? It surely cannot be the church's fault that men are not falling on their knees and repentance towards the living and Almighty God of the Old Testament and the God of Jesus Christ.  The churches message should be pure and simple repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ unto salvation. Peace will come in the world when Christ returns a second time but until then we can have peace with one another and peace within her own hearts. Romans chapter 10 says that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the
dead you will be saved. Will you do this today?

Some Bible Verses on Money.

Bible verses about money. I bet you didn’t think the bible said that? Proverbs 23:5 When you glance at wealth, it disappears, for it makes wings for itself and flies like an eagle to the sky.  1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. Proverbs 13:11 Wealth quickly gained is quickly wasted — easy come, easy go! But if you gradually gain wealth, you will watch it grow. Psalm 62:10 Don’t make your living by extortion or put your hope in stealing. And if your wealth increases, don’t make it the centre of your life. Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Ecclesiastes 11:1 Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again. Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that

My Story.

In 1999 I suffered a mental health crisis and admitted myself into the hospital where I live, in which I was given a mental health diagnosis. I didn’t want to receive medication at the time, but unwillingly accepted it. I was in the hospital for about two months, when I asked my doctor if I could go home, and he said yes, even though he thought it would have been better if I stayed longer.   I was glad to be home though, but at 25, it took some adjusting to feel truly at home. One of the problems I was having at home was it was hard for me to eat the food in the house. I was having a psychosis where I felt the food wasn’t mine, and I literally had to go out to eat, or buy bread from the supermarket and take it home to eat it. Eventually this wore off, but I don’t remember how long.  I was now on ODSP and had a check come to me every month in order to have financial support. I would occasionally have a crisis, and ask my mom to drive me to the hospital, but eventually the crisis would

Why has the church lost its capacity and power?

The church has modernized itself and in the process has lost something very valuable. It has lost its capacity to be personable. The way we reach lost souls is by seeing them, by getting to know them, and by recognizing them, but people are getting lost in the church. The church has become a busy place and is also becoming a less holy place. To make disciples we have to get to know people, and technology in the church is depersonalizing souls, and depersonalizing God for them. Faith becomes a marketable commodity, whereas in the past, churches and their leaders nourished and valued personal faith. While faith is still valued, it’s becoming something that is marketable, which reminds me of the story of Jesus in the temple turning over tables (Matthew 21:12-17). The problem isn’t that the church doesn’t work or doesn’t want to share the gospel, it could be how we are doing it. The church is currently being run like a business, and each Christian metaphorically speaking has a profit val
