Christians know that Jesus is Lord, but he also is a King. He waits outside this land waiting for the foreordained time to return here to rightfully claim what is his. I want to say that he already owns it, you and me and the souls of men but he will not impose his will upon anyone not willing to have Him as King, and that's why he is here and that's why he has come. “Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a wine press in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants, and went into another country. 34When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servantsc to the tenants to get his fruit. 35And the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. 36Again he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them. 37Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.’ 39And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” 41They said to him, “He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.”
42Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:
“‘The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;d
this was the Lord’s doing,
and it is marvellous in our eyes’?
has become the cornerstone;d
this was the Lord’s doing,
and it is marvellous in our eyes’?
43Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits. 44And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.”e
45When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he was speaking about them. 46And although they were seeking to arrest him, they feared the crowds, because they held him to be a prophet. (Matthew 21)
We should not grieve the death of the Saviour, for in Grieving you indicate you have lost him. Jesus promised me through his word that there would be a remnant and he would leave for good. He promised that if we in our sinfulness would invite him back to the hearts of our land he would return someday. If fact he is alive right now as we sit in our spiritual death, but the words gives us life and when we are alive in him we see him face to face again. But there is a problem, man has metaphorically speaking cast Jesus out of the land of their own hearts and they don't want him to return or come back, they are just waiting for him to leave for good. We are all sinful and there isn't any goodness in any of us.
The only hope for me right now is to remember that there is a Saviour and he is just outside the camp and is in our churches for the Lord is alive and not dead and he welcomes those who trust him. But for those of you who want your own way and take advantage of the poor you are grieving the heart of Jesus and he will return as your Judge. In fact the fact remains that because you have kicked him out of your country, he will only return with salvation to those who believe in Him.
