Can you just say what you mean?

I have never been the kind of man to brood over the faults and missteps of others, but I must take inspiration from my own life and the many mistakes I have made and have yet to fix. I would say that there are many times I avoid conflict just because I think my opinions don't matter when in fact they do matter, they matter quite a lot. But more so than my opinion I like to turn to the bible to resolve some deep weeds in my thinking right now and I would like to replace them with biblical truth before I close my eyes and go to sleep tonight. I used to think that all problems were solvable until I started encountering things (thinking patterns) that were very destructive and hard to replace. I think at the heart of all our problems is the way we choose to think about things. Thinking is a choice and what we choose to think about determines the course of your life. The concept of psychiatry is to change the way a person thinks about their problems and if you are up for it I would

As were the days of Noah.

I want to start off this blog with a bible verse for when you loose sight of the bible you loose light. Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulphur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. 32 Remember Lot’s wife! 33 Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other

I will tell all Your Secrets.

What lies at the heat of a secret? I t is usually shame at those who are revealing them and those who find them out! Is there such a thing a secret tellers and if you are a person of faith, should you be revealing secret things to your brothers and sisters in the Lord if you are a Christian? Before I answer those questions, I want to talk about sin, because that is what a secret hides. In Romans the bible talks about people suppressing the truth because of their unrighteousness, For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not Honor him as God or give thank

God's Presence removed from the land, but not from our hearts.

Christians know that Jesus is Lord, but he also is a King. He waits outside this land waiting for the foreordained time to return here to rightfully claim what is his. I want to say that he already owns it, you and me and the souls of men but he will not impose his will upon anyone not willing to have Him as King, and that's why he is here and that's why he has come. “Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a wine press in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants, and went into another country. 34 When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants c to the tenants to get his fruit. 35 And the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. 36 Again he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them. 37 Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is t

The sinners prayer is biblical.

Let us read together Romans chapter 10, Brothers, a my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. 2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. b The Message of Salvation to All 5 For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them. 6 But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 or “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “ The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lo

Salvation is a Free Gift.

I want to start this blog by referring to a scripture in Romans, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 or “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10) In Roman Catholicism catholics believe that grace is not a free gift, but something that must
