The Value and Meaning in Life.

I have been thinking about goals, and what motivates me to accomplish things in my life. I can say that there are times when I can feel like I have no purpose, no direction and no motivation. 💡The reason why I might feel that I have no goals is because sometimes with depression nothing interests me.  Finding direction can lead me to set specific goals for my life, and the desire to achieve those goals can create motivation to accomplish them.  It doesn’t matter how old you are, you can always find something that gives your life meaning and purpose.  When you find yourself motivated to set out and do something, the  meaning  that comes from accomplishing those goals will create motivation to create  new goals  and carry you forwards to accomplish  new things. Sometimes our fear prevents us from setting out to accomplish our goals because we can fear failure, and what other people think of us,  or we may no longer care about reachi...

Why Christians must show Mutual Concern for One another.

Look and see, there is no one at my right hand; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life. Psalm 142:4. Christians in the church should have mutual concern for one another, this is what it means to be part of the body of Christ, 1 Corinthians 12:25. Christians live like the world, and become vulnerable to Satan’s attacks when nobody is supporting them outside the church. I used to belong to an evangelical church which had great leadership, and something called small groups. This church felt like a family and I had people who shared my Christian walk with me when I was not in the church building. I have been attending a different denomination that doesn’t hav...

The Power of Death.

Hebrews 2:14-18 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants. For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Death is real, and if you are not a Christian, the Bible says that the devil holds you in slavery to the fear of death. It also says that Satan holds the power of death. While it is true that Jesus Christ conquered death, he also delivered us from the power of death that Satan holds. What is implied here is that he also delivered us from the ...
