Does Christ have Authority in You?

Does Christ have Authority in You? One question to ask in the Christian life is "who has power over you, and is Christ reigning or in Authority in you?" If Jesus is Lord of your life, you have given him the power to have his Authority ruling in your Spirit. When you become saved, the Holy Spirit takes up residence in your Spirit, and in a real sense your life shouldn't belong to you anymore. What makes people lost is not just that they haven't repented yet, but they are their own authority in what decisions they make in life and not Christ. Matthew 7:21-23 21Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’ Being a Christian is different than liv

On The Glorification of Violence.

On The Glorification of Violence. Culture has shifted in our consciousness over the past ten or so years in my opinion. It is really hard for most people to focus and this leads people to watch and say things that are violent. Even older people who in the previous decades, who would sense that they are close to the end of life, are feeding themselves things that make the soul restless and not prepared to enter a peaceful eternity. I'm not expecting this planet to be 100% peaceful, but as a society we have to start thinking how we build bridges and not tear one another down. Being open and honest with all kinds of friends is really important in the 21st Century because people now are really craving emotional intimacy. When we starve ourselves of the joy of honest friendship, we can take our frustrations out on innocent people. Of course making the world a happier place doesn't just r

The Trinity, What is it?

What is the Trinity? God through holy scriptures reveals Himself as One God in three persons. The Catholic Church holds this as a mystery of faith. Why is it important to believe this in order to be saved? The Trinity is the Doctrine of God and reveals that Jesus is just not the Son of God, but also equally God in essence and substance, in the incarnation and His eternality. Equally the Holy Spirit is God and all three are equal and co-exist as one substance. God is one substance but three equal persons, and all three distinct persons have relationship with each other in the Godhead. The Father reveals the Son, and the Son is One with the Father. The Spirit discloses the things of the Son, and regenerates the sinner. Through ongoing repentance and renewal of our spirits, the Holy Spirit enables us to continue to believe and have peace. With our cooperation with the indwelling Spirit we are renewed daily to be like Christ, and live the beatitudes. The Trinity is One Substance and al
